POV: Normani's
One week later

Despite me being called out in front my former church family, I've been happy. Y/N has been making me feel special in extravagant and also in little ways

Y/N's at work now and I'm on my way to my birth home to see my father off to jail. Yup, he's leaving today because apparently someone *cough* Ryan *cough* leaked the video on the Internet getting the attention of many persons

This is the last thing I need one day before my graduation. I should be relaxing at the spa, getting my manicure and pedicure done but instead here I am

My grandmother parked in the driveway of the house amd we all got out to head inside. Nothing much has changed while I was gone for almost three months

My dad looked embarrassed to see me but he had a satisfied look as well

"I'm gonna make this quick, and I'm glad you didn't take that dyke with you-"

"My girlfriend" I corrected, cutting him off as I sat in the couch furthest away from him

My mom was sitting my the dining table as if she didn't want to be near him as well. I don't wrong her one bit

'At least the bitch isn't here' I thought

"Your girlfriend... because I want you all to meet this person" he paused and called someone out from the staircase

This tall fairly light skinned guy walked out and stood beside him. I'm not gonna lie, he's very good looking but I got my eye on one person right now

Wait...he looks familiar but I can't remember where I saw him

"This is Keith, Keith Powers. He's a medical student and I've arranged for him to marry you" my dad continued before pointing at Arielle

'He's the guy I flirted with to get Y/N jealous at her party!' I thought as it finally hit me

"Me!? I'm only 16" Arielle yelled in disbelief

"Not you, her" he clarified and Arielle moved out of the way, now everyone is looking at me

"Keep dreaming, cause it and into finna happen my boy" I chuckled as I stood to my feet

"Normani, as much as I object to the decision, this is all we could come up with to cover up at least your side of the story"

"I'm happy with my life right now. Y'all need to work out him going to jail for sleeping with a girl my age. He's fucking 59" I vented

"Normani" Grandma scolded

I apologized for my profanities "...but this is absurd" I finished

"I know but I'd like to leave a good impression of this family before I go" Dad paused and I looked at him like he was crazy

"I'm not marrying him" I announced and he ignored me

"So, you two are gonna announce that you both are getting married. Everything else will be sorted out-" he continued but was cut off by a knock at the door

"Its the police from Houston Texas department, here to take Mr. Hamilton into custody" a male voice sounded from outside

"And so will our divorce" my mom chimed in before gettung up to open the door to let the police in

The whole house went quiet as the two police men walked in. One of them handcuffed my father and they both escorted him out of the house

When the door closed everyone went about their business and I stayed in my place going on my phone

"I remember you from the party at the house that was across the street" the Keith guy said as he sat beside me

"Listen, just because I flirted with you a few months ago doesn't mean I actually want to be with you and if you think for a second I'm marrying you, you've got to be the male version of that phsyco bitch" I gritted standing up

"Well that phsyco bitch is my sister and you have no other choice, your father has already signed the contract. You and I are gonna get married and move to a different state whether you like it or not" he said as he held on to my hand

I glared at him before getting out of his grip and heading up to my sisters room

POV: Y/N's

Jay and I walked into the building after meeting up for lunch. He wanted an overview of what was going on at the company right now

He had brought with him his daughter Blue and she's so sweet

"So, I have this girl, we've been talking about her future as in, she loves to sing and I personally thinks she sounds heavenly-"

"Is she your girlfriend?" Jay and aked cutting me off

"Yeah" I answered honestly

"Is she here?"

"No but I recorded her singing, with her permission obviously"

"Let me here it" he said as we made it to my office

He gave Blue who is 4 years old a snack from her little lunch bag. While he did that I got the recording of Normani singing a song when she was messing around with my music board

I started playing it and swooned as usual when I hear Normani sing. 'I wonder what she's up to now' I thought as Jay and I listened to the clip

"You're right, she has a very angelic voice but you own this now, if you feel and believe she's what this record label needs then you do what you gotta do" he said breaking my thoughts

"Oh I believe she is" I said standing up for my girl

"Alright then, fill her in and then get back to me" he said

We got off that topic and started the budget reviews

Time skip

I was on my way home from work when I got a call. I hooked it up to my car so I wouldn't have to hold the phone to my ear while I drove. After I did that I answered

"Hey babygirl"

"Hey..." Normani answered and I immediately knew something was up

"What's wrong?" I questioned as I pulled over

"I don't wanna talk about it right now. I just want you to hold me and tell me everything is gonna be fine even though it's not" she sighed

"Okay. Are you home?" I asked as I made my way back on to the main road

"At my grandmother's" she answered softly

"I'm on my way" I said

"Stay on the phone with me?"

"Of course"

As promised, I stayed on the phone with her as I made my way to Ms. Barbara's house

Normani was the one that let me in and I wasn't in properly when she jumped into my arms and cradled her face into my neck

I carried her up to her room and held and waited until she fell asleep before I took a well needed shower. Afterwards I got something to eat then brushed my teeth and got back in the bed beside Normani

I couldn't sleep peacefully as my mind ran all over the place as to what was going on with her all I know is I feel like I'm gonna be against it
