i was overwhelmed with the feelings i had developing for this idiot.

this

one

colorful

mischevious

enchanting

goofy

idiot.

i walked outside into the halls and peeked into naomi's room.

robyn was sleeping beside her, both passed out.

they probably had a sleep over since it got boring sleeping in our own rooms.

as i walked towards adelaide's room, i heard soft crying.

i slowly pressed my ear to the door, trying to figure out why.

"no michael.. we have to let each other go.." she softly murmured.

"i love you! there i said it!" i heard michael's voice out loud, and i felt my heart break.

i had to keep myself together.

there's probably a back story to all of this.

"don't you get IT? this ISN'T healthy! sarah obviously is into you and i don't wanna seem like a bad friend-"

"adelaide, what happened in the past, is nothing. i swear."

a door next to me opens and naomi appeared, looking annoyed.

"what the hell?" she muttered with one eye open.

"shhhhhh." i shushed her, pulling her alongside me.

a moment of silence debriefed and we waited for the conversation to go on.

"no michael, i don't want our old relationship back. we both need to learn the meaning of letting each other go."

"is that what you really want? remember the memories? you left me without saying anything.. where did you even go?"

"my family had to move.."

naomi looked at me with her mouthing 'omg'. i looked away and felt a tear drop onto my hand.

she rubbed my back and i felt sadness.

"i wrote songs about you.."

"like what?"

"amnesia, disconnected, close as strangers, wherever you are, i could name alot."

"lies."

"i swear!"

"i like luke."

robyn came out a few moments later, and bumped her head causing her to make a loud noise.

"they're awake."

"come on we have to talk about this adelaide!" michael whined.

the door opened and i looked at michael then to adelaide who's eyes were puffy.

my eyes were dried and i pretended to look my happiest.

"hey." naomi gave an awkward greeting to them and they stood apart.

"soo, what happened?" robyn butted in.

"just visited my old friend." michael wrapped an arm around her and playfully punched her arm.
