The Way I Are

"Blessed be I am a child of God

Though I still roam in the dark

For deep thinking and meditation

I sing with my heart and carry around this bright heart under my sleeves

But no one seems to understand me or any of my needs

I'm a down to earth kind of person who talks about the what ifs and maybes

I don't know about you I don't know if you're into crazies

Relationships can be hard, tedious, and lazy though I wouldn't mind kneeling on floor for you when you got you're eyes set on a dasiy

I may not be or look like a prince charming and wishing for one is devilish myth

Don't worry darling there's good people in the world they ain't that hard to miss

With no money to buy you flowers or a license to take you on a date

I know I cant be your soulmate

I know you may not like me the way I are

But I can promise you I can make your heart glow brighter than a shooter star."
