Once Upon A Time In Paris

Landed in Paris

Rose knows all about Jisoo, she might project a very strong personality but on the inside, she has a heart of gold. And everything that Jisoo is saying makes sense. 

"Give me all the details and everything you know about them" Rose says and takes a pen and a paper

Rose also checks google and finds all the information about the two family's, Jisoo's father's family and Mijoo's family, and writes them down

"Do you have a plan?" Jisoo asks

"Listen to me," Rose says and sits closer to Jisoo

"This is all very risky. You don't know anyone in Paris, where will you live? How will you afford to even stay there? It is an expensive place. And let's say, our plan doesn't work. How will you come back? All these bags and shoes can buy you a ticket to Paris but after staying there for so long and then coming? I don't think that they'll be enough" she says

"I just need to land in Paris. The rest, I'll manage, You just need to come up with a plan" Jisoo says

"I might have something in my mind," Rose says and walks towards the wardrobe

"But first we need to buy you a ticket to Paris and we need to do it today," she says and takes out all the bags and everything

Three days later

Jungkook pulls up in front of the Le Moulin Rouge club. A guard runs towards him and he hands over his keys. As he is about to enter the club, his eyes catch the glimpse of a unique sight

"That's my money" a person screams

Jungkook sees someone running towards him, a thief to be exact. He immediately understands the situation and chases after him. It doesn't take long till he pins the thief down and takes the envelope from his hand. 

"I am calling the police," he says and as soon as he is about to take his phone out, the thief manages to free him from his grip and runs for his life. Jungkook doesn't chase anymore. He has the money in his hand. He looks back and realizes that they've come quite a long way. He heads back to the place where the person first screamed

He looks around and finds someone sitting on the sidewalks with her suitcases and bags, crying with her head over her knees. He walks towards that person

"Here, I managed to track him down," he says to the person

The person looks up, it's Jisoo. She looks devastated and tired. Her eyes are bloodshot red from all the crying she has been doing. She gives him a very skeptical look and snatches the envelope from his hand and looks inside. She starts counting the money 

"You're from Korea? I am from there too" Jungkook says in the Korean language

"Thank you so much for giving me my money back" Jisoo replies and takes a few dollars out of the envelope

"I am sorry but this is all I can offer you. I wish I could give you more but this is all I can offer right now" she says and extends her hand forward for Jungkook to take it

"Oh, I didn't do it for money. I was not actually expecting anything" he says

"You want me to believe that? It's been 6 hours since I landed in Paris and the people here have been nothing but mean. And to think that all the money I have left was going to get stolen as well, that would've been the cherry on top of the cake. Just take it" she says

"I am sorry that you had that experience but you'll get used to it. The people here are actually very nice once you get used to it" he says

"Get up. You don't look nice crying on the sidewalk" he adds

Jisoo wipes her eyes and stands up

"By any chance, do you know any nearest hotel here?" Jisoo asks

"Umm, there is one just by the road. Hotel De Vel. You can easily spot it. It is one of the best hotels here" he says

Jisoo looks inside her envelope again.. "I don't actually want the best. Just a simple hotel which wouldn't cost much will get the job done" she says

Jungkook politely points at the envelope "Can I see that?" 

"You're not going to run away with it, will you?" Jisoo says with a confused expression

"Why would I bring it back if I had to run away in the first place?" Jungkook says being amused

"Oh yeah, makes sense," Jisoo says and passes the envelope

Jungkook counts the bills and he himself looks tensed

"This is all you have?" he asks

"I had more but damn, the flight tickets are expensive. Why? Won't it be enough for me to survive on till I get a job?" Jisoo says

"Oh no no, it is more than enough" Jungkook lies to reassure her. She has been crying and looks tensed. This is probably not the right time to scare her about money issues

A few guys were passing by "Hey babe, wanna spend the night together?" one of them says 

Jisoo tries not to let these words get in her head.

"It is cold out here plus it's quite late. Do you want to come to the club? We can find a suitable hotel for you" Jungkook says

Jisoo looks at the fancy club and all the expensive cars pulling in front of it. 

"I don't think that I can afford it. You've helped enough. I am sure I can find a cheap hotel nearby" she smiles and puts the envelope in her small backpack. She takes her suitcase and the few bags she had and starts walking. Jungkook  watches her slowly vanish in the darkness

As Jisoo is walking aimlessly, she finds the same guys standing beside the road, one of them points at her and they all start moving towards her

"It's a good night to get laid," one of them says

Jisoo all of a sudden realizes that she is alone in an unknown city in the middle of the night. She picks up all the courage she has and runs in the opposite direction

"Wait wait, wait for me" she sees Jungkook walking towards the club and hugs him

Jungkook gets surprised at this, she is trembling. He looks forward and sees the group of guys trailing behind her. He puts his hand on the back of her head and pats her hair as he shoots a deadly glance at the guys. As soon as they see him they stop and start walking away

"I want to go inside with you. I think I can afford it" she says with her eyes closed while hugging him

Jungkook knows the amount Jisoo has with her and he knows that she cannot afford it and even if she does, she won't have any money left for the hotel. He realizes that he started patting her hair unconsciously. He immediately puts her hand down

"You don't have to pay for anything. You're in my city, let me treat you" he says as Jisoo slowly pulls away from the hug clearly being embarrassed 

"Wait, I'll pay you back as soon as I get a job" Jisoo replies

"Sure" Jungkook smirks and takes the bags and suitcase from her hand as they walk inside the club
