"Hey Zeke," Tobias and I say at the same exact time.

I smile and kiss his cheek.

"I swear you two are perfect for each other," Zeke mutters and Tobias and I laugh.

"I think so too," I hear Tobias whisper. I smile and nod.

"Wanna dance?" I ask him.

"Yeah."

He grabs my hand and drags me to the dance floor.

Thriller comes on and Tobias and dance like complete maniacs.

It's close to midnight and something evil's lurking in the dark
Under the moonlight you see a sight that almost stops your heart
You try to scream but terror takes the sound before you make it
You start to freeze as horror looks you right between the eyes,
You're paralyzed
'Cause this is thriller, thriller night
And no one's gonna save you from the beast about to strike

You're fighting for your life inside a killer, thriller tonight
You hear the door slam and realize there's nowhere left to run
You feel the cold hand and wonder if you'll ever see the sun
You close your eyes and hope that this is just imagination
But all the while you hear the creature creepin'up behind

Night creatures call
And the dead start to walk in their masquerade

They're out to get you, there's demons closing in on every side
They will possess you unless you change the number on your dial

All thru the night I'll save you from the terrors on the screen,

Darkness falls across the land
The midnite hour is close at hand
Creatures crawl in search of blood
To terrorize y'awl's neighbourhood
And whosoever shall be found
Without the soul for getting down
Must stand and face the hounds of hell
And rot inside a corpse's shell
The foulest stench is in the air
The funk of forty thousand years
And grizzly ghouls from every tomb
Are closing in to seal your doom
And though you fight to stay alive
Your body starts to shiver
For no mere mortal can resist
The evil of the thriller
Can you dig it?!

Tobias and I laugh.

"HEY IF YOU ARE NOT ONE OF MY OR URIAH'S CLOSE FRIENDS THEN GET OUT OF OUR HOUSE!" Zeke yells.

"Subtle," I mumble.

Everybody except for the gang leaves.
"Come friends to the basement," Uriah says pointing us to the stairs, even though we've all been here before.

We all head down to the basement and sit on the soft carpeted floor.

"Okay people! Never Have I Ever time!"

"If you have done what someone says they haven't done then you put a finger down."

"My house, I go first," Zeke says, "never have I ever, touched a ladybug of any color."

I put a finger down.

It Tobias's turn next, "Never have I ever, been a girl."

I put another finger down and weirdly, Zeke does the same.

"Zeke?!"

"Long story," we all burst out laughing and I'm almost not able to contain my laughter.

"Ok my turn," I say, "never have I ever, been to Michigan for more than 2 hours."
Chris, Uriah, Zeke, Mar, and Will all put a finger down.

15 turns later and we're all completely tired.

"I'm tired," I say to Tobias and fall on the couch.

"Me too," he says and I barely catch it before I fall into a deep sleep.

Time Lapse
I wake up and instantly feel happy. Tobias's arms are wrapped protectively around my torso and I smile. I love waking up with him next to me. I love him. Him. Everything about him makes me love him even more.

His smile. His laugh. His personality. His everything.

It all makes me love him more. ❤️
