"Dude? Where is he?" Kie asked.

"Give him a second. He'll be here" Pope said.

I was on The Phantom getting it ready with JJ.

"I'm sure he's on his way" I smiled.

"He'll be fine" JJ said.

Just then, we heard the sound of a siren coming in.

"JJ!"

"Hey- yeah. Get back on the boat! Untie it" JJ panicked.

"Shit" I panicked.

I looked at the cop car and saw someone I didn't expect to see.

"Wait what?" I laughed causing the others to look up.

John B stepped out of the police car with his back pack.

"No way" JJ chuckled.

"No f'ing way"

"I'm sorry?" Kie questioned.

"You've gotta be kidding me" JJ laughed.

We ran and he helped me get off the boat.

"Shoupe let me take it for a spin" John B smiled.

"Okay, that's believable. I'll buy that for now" Kie laughed hugging him.

"It wasn't easy, bro. But I got The Phantom for you, and she runs like she was made yesterday" JJ explained.

He held up the keys and jingled them.

"You ready to go?" I hugged John B.

"Where's Sarah?" he pulled away.

"She's not with you?" I asked him.

"No we got separated in the swamp. She said she'd meet me here" he panicked.

"No, we haven't seen her" Pope said.

"Okay. Well, I'm not leaving without her"
John B said.

We all looked worried amongst each other.

"John B, look at me. I know you feel bad for leaving, but there's no time, man. You've got plenty of gas, plenty of food. Once you get around that point, it's a straight shot across the sound to Dismal Swamp, okay?" JJ told him.

John B nodded.

"Once you get there, lay low, all right? Hang out for a couple of weeks and then go overland, cross the border at Brownsville, you got that?" JJ asked him.

John B's attention had shifted.

"You, hey! You got that?" JJ got his attention back.

"Yeah, yeah. Brownsville" John B agreed.

"All right. Saddle her up, saltwater cowboy. Let's do this. Yeah" JJ threw him the keys.
