Eden awoke when she felt a familiar throbbing ache in her gut. She shifted and moaned.
"Eden?" It was Gabriel.
"Yeah?" Eden murmured as her eyes fluttered open, meeting the concerned gaze of the Archangel.
"Merry Christmas Eden." Gabriel murmured softly as he kissed her on the cheek.
"Happy and Merry Christmas to you to Gabriel." Eden replied with a warm smile.
"Did I say it wrong?"
"Naw, there are different ways to wish someone a Happy Christmas, you're doing great."
"Good to know." Gabriel replied as he glanced at the Christmas tree. "Would you like to open one of the presents I got you?"
Eden shook her head. "No. I just want you to sit next to me for as long as possible. Unless you want to open one of the presents I got for you..."
"It can wait Eden." Gabriel said as he clasped her hand tightly.
He didn't want to be anywhere else right now....
