Christina's POV
"I'm leaving" Bob, my father, shouts.
He's drunk.
"Good you won't be missed." I say.
"Come on Sue." he says and my mom rises from where she had been sitting on the couch.
"No" she whispers.
"What did you just say?" He asks?
"She said no" I shout pushing him away from her.
He raises his hand to slap me, but he is stopped. My mom does something completely out of character. She pushes my dad to the ground. Then she grabs my hand and we run to the car. She quickly starts it and we drive away.
I look out the window and peer back at my house. I remember a time when our family wasn't like this. And all we did was laugh and smile. But that was so long ago. I lean back in my seat and let the memory consume me.

Flashback. (Christina's POV)
"Daddy, you make the best cookies" I squeak.
I'm 6 Years old
"Thank you, my little angel" he replies.
"What's going on in here?" My mom asks as she walks in the kitchen, "Making cookies with out me?"
"It was supposed to be a surprise." I say.
My mom smiles. "You did great." she says.
"She sure did" my dad adds and they kiss each other.
The sun is just starting to rise and orange light fills the room.
"I love you mommy, I love you daddy." I say.
"We love you too" they say at the same time.
