Chapter 29:: Then let me be.

"We are dancing." Jungkook said grinning at her as she rolled her eyes.
"What's wrong with you?" She asked in a rude tone as he asked back, "What wrong with YOU?" 

"Go dance with Jennie. She must be waiting for you." She said as Jungkook looked at her confused.
"Why would I dance with her? She is dancing with her boyfriend." Jungkook said as Mina's face was filled with confusion.

"Ah and I don't know why she told you she's my friend. She's my cousin." He said as Mina looked at him not being able to process anything.
"Why? You jealous?" He asked smirking as Mina scoffed.
"No way!" She said but who listened? Jungkook just pulled her before holding her by her waist as they started dancing. 

"We look like a planned couple. We even have matching colours." Jungkook said as Mina blushed but looked away pretending to be bold making Jungkook giggle. 

Taehyung's POV: 

I was dancing with Y/N when I noticed her face in the dim light of the hall. Her face glowing under the light, looking so beautiful and ethereal. Her plump lips, Bambi eyes and her cute button nose. I couldn't help but admire her features. 

The background song was Perfect by ED SHEERAN and I couldn't deny, every lyric matched the moment I was in.

I know I feel towards her, not just a little but A LOT. And I can't hold myself in anymore. We were lost in each other's eyes when I slowly leaned in closer to her. My lips inches away from hers, our noses touching. I looked down at her lips blinking as she closed her eyes. I didn't waste a second before placing my lips on her. 

She was a little shocked at first and didn't kiss me back making me disappointed but soon I could feel her kissing me back as a small smile appeared on my lips. The kiss was full of love and passion, gentle and soft. A moment I'd never forget. (yeah never forget- die with that cringe moment-ToT)

Author's POV:

You both were so lost in the moment when suddenly shouted, "THERE'S A RAT!" You and Taehyung pulled away when someone accidentally brushed past you. 

Taehyung was still thinking about what just happened when you were blushing but suddenly saw a rat running here and there and people being in chaos.

"Oh my gosh!" You screamed quickly holding Taehyung hands in fear. He couldn't process what was happening as a shade of crimson crept up to his cheeks. 
The rat ran towards Ms Veronica Park's direction as she kicked the rat hard making it fall on Mr Johnson's eating plate. 
"AGH!" He screamed trying to get up as his plate flipped over causing his chicken to fall on his bald head as you almost puked on spot seeing that.

"I didn't throw any chicken this time though.." You mumbled as Taehyung came out of his trance seeing the mess. 

Soon, many guards came in chasing the rat while the entire party was in a mess. The decorations are messed up, the people panting as if they had run a marathon and Mr Johnson in the deep grief of his bald head. Well deserved. 

"Are you okay?" Taehyung asked seeing you who was hiding behind him. You looked up as his eyes met yours. Soon, the moment from just now flashed in your mind as you quickly backed away. 
"S-so...like.." You cursed yourself for stuttering as your entire face became red. You could've exploded any moment if this continued. 

"Taehyung, Y/N. The party is messed up. I think it'll end now. Let's go." Jin said as you both nodded following him with your minds still on what happened a while ago.

-----Time skip

You and Taehyung were sitting on the bed beside each other awkwardly. The only one awkward was basically YOU. All thanks to that rat for ruining your moment.

"The rat ruined the party."
"Why are you so awkward?" 

You turned towards Taehyung trying to strike up a conversation to ease the awkwardness but who thought time would be a coincidence? You both looked at each other for a few moments before speaking up.

"Why did you kiss me?"
"I like you, Kim Y/N."

Again. Time must be having its fun to the highest while making you suffer. Your cheeks heated up hearing what Taehyung just said. You just looked at him surprised, you could've guessed he liked you but you couldn't imagine him confessing to you and adding to it, kiss you.

"I kissed you because I like you." He said as you looked away shyly. You couldn't process what to say. You were happy, shy, overwhelmed, excited, nervous and anxious at the same time. Well, side effects of love they say. 
"Do you like me?" You asked as he replied, "Do you think I'd kiss someone I don't like?" He asked as you shook your head knowing his personality well. 

"Why aren't you saying anything?" He asked as you looked at him shyly before saying, "I like you too." He chuckled before saying, "I know." You looked at him annoyed huffing as he smiled at you. 

"Then are we like... a couple now?" You asked shyly with a smile on your face as he came close to your face making your heart race as a tint of red shade crept up to your cheeks (she will blush even if a rat kisses her KSKSKSK). 

"Do you want me to kiss you to prove that?" He asked as your eyes widened. You awkwardly coughed trying to survive as he chuckled

"Why are you all awkward? Wouldn't it be normal for us to act like this if we both like each other?~" He mimicked what you had said on the other say as you coughed.
"This is wrong! You are doing this intentionally." You said pouting as he smiled before pulling you into a hug. 
"You're so adorable." He cooed as you cringed at him.

"Stop! You were better being a coldie. Don't pretend to be nice. You cringe!" You said as he hugged you even tighter.
"Then let me be." He said as you scoffed, "Are you drunk?!" You asked as he ignored you swaying his body along with you while you complained the entire night.
