"Ngayon, sabihin mo sa'min Kiefer kung pa'no mo nasabing gustong patayin si Xanthal ng asawa niya. My God! Hindi ko alam na ganito ka kadesperado magmahal! Hindi ka naman naging ganito sa'kin dati!" si Zain. Ngayon, nakalagay naman ang isang kamay niya sa sentido. Tila minamasahe ito.

"Hindi naman kita minahal, Zain..." napahawak sa dibdib niya ang kaibigan kong OA. "Pero hindi ko sinabi 'yon kay Xanthal because of my feelings to her! Totoo naman ung mga sinabi ko. Right, Clardey?"

"Kief, our claim was baseless. We merely had that idea pero kulang na kulang ung sinabi mo para mapatunayan ang hinala natin. Mabuti pa, let's observe first. Let's not jump into such conclusions shall we?"

"Fine. But I still believe that that man is not good to her."

I ignored Kiefer when a ringtone of a phone suddenly hulled my room. Dumako ako sa side table ng aking kama at binuksan ang drawer nito. I got the phone that Tito gave to me but, it seems like he's not the one who's calling. 'Pag si Tito kasi ang tumatawag, may pangalan na niya agad ang nakalagay. This time, only random numbers where flashed on the screen.

"Hello?"

"Hi, baby,"

Hindi agad ako nakasagot nang mapagtanto na si Lucas pala ito.

I should tell him to stop calling me that.

"Lucas," napatingin ako sa mga kaibigan ko. They gestured me to go on and they both look away my direction. Bahagya rin akong lumayo sa kanila."Pa'no mo 'ko natawagan? How did you even know na may phone ako?"

"I missed you. I missed your voice. I missed your face. I missed you, Halley." Napalunok ako sa sinabi ni Lucas. Hindi ako nakasagot. Hindi ko alam ang sasabihin.

"You don't miss me?" tanong niya nang natahimik ang aking linya.

"I m-missed you, o-of course."

"Parang napipilitan lang ang baby ko ah,"

"H-Huh? H-Hindi..."

"I'm just kidding. I know you love me so much." narinig ko ang bahagyang pagtawa niya. Bumigat ang pakiramdam ko at tila binabagabag na ako ng konsensya.

I'm sorry, Lucas. I loved you.

"About your parents, Halley, I still have no updates. Nahihirapan ang mga tauhan kong hanapin sila. I'm not certain if they're purposely hiding but, I'll make sure we'll still find them."

"Thank you, Lucas."

"Don't mention it, baby. I love you."

"Uhm, how's your injury? Is it getting better?" I asked, can't tell those three words he just said when I don't really mean it.

"Yes. And hearing your voice makes it so much better now. I think I'm not injured anymore." he chuckled.

"Are you coming over here once it is fully healed?"
