"In the Sports Festival, your thoughts reached me for a second." He stiffens next to you. "I didn't purposely reach into your mind just to be clear. There are times where I can't escape the words and you were thinking up a storm in there."

Midoriya laughs as he rubs the back of his neck, he was aware of his mumbling habit.

"A couple of things stood out to me." Turning to the side to look at him, you give him a serious look. "Your secret is safe with me... about One for All."

The green haired boy visibly paled, already thinking of a hundred excuses to give you and how important it is for this to remain a secret.

"You're doing it again."

"Ah sorry sorry."

"Back to what I was saying. I know how important it is, and your secret is safe with me. That mentor of yours, it's the retired Number One Hero right? Katsuki has mentioned All Might here and there and I searched up what I could." Your shoulder bumps into his side as you send him a smile, "Can't believe my first friend is going to become the Symbol of Peace."

"I'm your first friend?"

Rolling your eyes, you huff as if the answer wasn't clear. "Of course you are. I didn't have friends until I met you. If anything, you're one of my closest friends. You risked it all for my sister, and that's something I'll never forget. So I know you're going to make an excellent hero."

Sniffling, he wiped his eyes before grinning to you, his freckles catching the light. "You don't know how much that means to me."

You wrap an arm around his waist as he wraps one around your shoulders, a weird hugging position due to you refusing to stand up from the bike.

"Katsuki warned me about the waterworks." Midoriya laughs because of course Bakugo said that about him. "But I mean it, I really do. I'm excited to see my Symbol of Victory and Symbol of Peace kicking ass."

"Victory is Kacchan... I see that. He never loses when it matters the most." He says softly, reminiscing about his childhood friend. From a distance, Eri finally burned out and skidded to a stop. "What would that make you?"

"Hm?"

"We have peace and victory... but we're missing one."

Midoriya reaches up to ruffle your hair as he waves at Eri who was grinning, proud that she accomplished riding a bike. Now she was pushing the bike uphill which made her slightly regret going so far.

"You'll be our Symbol of Hope."

...

Standing in front of the mirror and slowly turning around to see all angles, your eye catches Jirou's through the reflection.

"I think you look hot as hell. Babe, you did a good job."

Yaoyorozu was next to you, still looking over the dress she made you, making sure that all the stitches were well and it wouldn't just fall apart on you. The comment from Jirou made her blush, but it didn't distract her from the job.

"Thank you guys. This means a lot to me."

Jirou rolled her eyes as she took a seat on the toilet, pulling out her phone to check the time and wait for the message from a certain angry boy. "Of course we were going to help you get ready. This is a big deal."

"Your first date with Bakugo. Plus the fact that you're soulmates. This is THE date." Yaoyorozu added, finally pleased with her artwork as she stood by her girlfriend.

Taking one last glance in the mirror and making sure that the girl looking back at you is in fact you, Jirou's notification ringtone indicates that it's time to go. Grabbing the bag that Yaoyorozu packed with all the essentials, you walk ahead and lead the group out of the room and towards the common room.
