I close my book, ready to leave. I'd been in the library for a while trying to cram for the herbology test, it is in a few days and I still have no clue what I am doing.

Sighing, I wrap my black and yellow scarf around my neck and glance out of the nearby window. Droplets of water obscure the scenery on the other side of the glass panes. The sun set a while ago, the library is lit now only by the orange glow of sparsely placed lamps.

I stand up slowly as to not alert anyone to my presence. We were supposed to be in our dorm rooms by 10, and as I glance at the watch on my wrist I am surprised to see it read 11:47. I knew it was past curfew but I hadn't realised how much past curfew it actually was.

I smile to myself as a thought crosses my mind, who said Hufflepuffs can't be rebellious? Admittedly this was the least thrilling bit of rule breaking to ever take place in the entire history of Hogwarts but it was rule breaking nonetheless.

I gather the few belongings I had brought along with me and begin to wander back to the common room, apologising to the paintings as I walk by, a few groaning and mumbling as I venture further down the hallways.

As I walk along I begin to grow relaxed, the sound of the rain pattering against the ceilings and walls helping to calm my worries, and while I take note that this should not become a regular occurrence I realise how much more at peace I feel while wandering the halls at this time of night.

I had been walking for what seemed to be quite a while when I heard something rather unsettling, noise echoed from the end of the hallway. It's nothing, your mind is just psyching you out I tell myself. It's probably just a ghost or something.

I hear a voice shout something.

Never mind, not relaxed anymore.

For a moment I stand there, like a potato, not knowing what to do with myself. Being rebellious has gone horribly wrong I think to myself in a panic.  A low glow of light appears at the end of the hallway, moving closer with every footstep that reaches my ears.

Well shit, this is it then, I think as I stand still in shock. I ponder over excuses I could use and yet none are convincing.

I prepare for the worst as the light appears a few paces away from me.

'There you are dumbass, I've been looking everywhere for you.' A slightly pissed off voice echoes through the corridor. 'You said you wouldn't be long y/n, I've had to listen to Cedric go on about his girlfriend for 30 fucking minutes!' A smile creeps onto my face at the sound of his voice.

'Sorry about that Mattheo, I was reading and I lost track of time.' I try to explain, running a hand through my hair.

A groan echoes throughout the hall as a hand pulls me in the direction of the common room. '30 god damn minutes of OoH Cho did this, oOh Cho likes that', he grumbles as he drags me along beside him. I couldn't help but smile.
