Life smashed in pieces
Me puzzling this thesis
Assembling my grievances, storming the weather
capsizing to dark allegiances
High tides bring demise
rocking my minds enterprise
chained to rocks as I drown
its my ego that I'm bound to
Sinking deeper into darkness
my heart harkens
Asking,
Is this the mirror of me?..
another dreamer drowning in envy?..
NO
My spirit awoke
My spirit of hope
Painting the picture,
these chains explode
I stroke to the surface
a new man
a new mode
The sunlight reaches down grabbing
my hand, I hear strength from my ancestry
in voices of trumpets
cleansing me of doubt all around
My past swims with the fishes,
my problems will drown
