Jake's POV

"Did you get through to Jade?" Liam asked me. "Yes.... I mean I spoke to Richy. They were on the flight and would call once they landed," I said. "That's good," He said. Damian walked in and sat down in the chair at the table, "So what are we doing to get the Ragwort down?" I shrugged, "I am still processing the data, but the amount I have been able to recover paints a weird picture. Granted that a bunch of people that are part of Ragwort are extremely influential, politicians, monarchs, businessmen, etc, it seems like not all of them voluntarily agreed to join the organization." "What's that supposed to mean?" Damian asked. "He means that many of them were blackmailed into being part of it," Liam said. "Exactly. I assume they were offered the perks and they declined and then they were blackmailed so that they would have no other choice but to join the organization to save face. Take for example, this hospital chief, she is currently having an affair with a young resident nearly half her age and she has been married to a cardiologist for over 35 years, so that is what is being used to coerce her to work for Ragwort," I said. "What would a hospital help Ragwort?"Damian asked. "For bodies. And any other medical emergencies and falsifying medical reports. I am sure they were the ones that helped with Luke's apparent 'suicide'," Liam said.
"Jesus, that is horrific. Shit they have thought of every avenue, haven't they?" Damian asked. "Yes but it did take them sometime to get here," I said. "Any idea who is spearheading this?" Damian asked. I looked at Liam. Liam shrugged, "Not sure but I will get to know more tomorrow at the meeting." "Not wanting to be a negative nelly but don't you think it is extremely risky to unlock the drive? Which really begs the question, what is on the drive?" Damian asked. "Well I didn't find anything when I went through it. But I really didn't know what I was looking at?" I said looking at Liam. "I don't know either. I haven't had a chance to look at it," Liam said. "Where is the drive?" I asked. "I have it in my car. Why?" Liam said, his demeanor changing to suspicious. "Maybe we can take a look at it. I can unlock it now," I suggested. "No," Liam said. "No? Why not?" Damian asked suspiciously. I fixed my eyes on Liam as well. He cleared his throat, "I don't think it is wise to unlock the Pandora's box." "How do you know it is the Pandora's box?" I asked. "I don't but as you say, 'There is no upside in screwing with things you can't explain'," Liam said. I gauged him carefully. I had said that. It was a line I had heard as a kid. I had told him this when we he had assigned me the task to get a file from someone. The woman who owned the place apparently had this historic architect who had built secret rooms in the house. I had come across a door that was not on the house blueprint. Curious, Zeus had asked me to open it. I, on the other hand had already gotten the file so I just let it be, saying the statement. I shrugged, "Okay so how do we do this? Where do we start?"
"With the amount of powerful people that are part of Ragwort, there is no way we get rid of them one at a time," Liam said. "Of course," Damian concurred. Liam's phone buzzed and he picked it up. He spoke for a few minutes and then looked at us, "I have to go." "Right now?" I asked in a surprised tone. "I have a life outside of this if you remember?" He said smugly. Then he just walked away without as much as a goodbye. "He is such a Bogan. Bloody pig," Damian emphasized watching Liam leave. Once he was out of earshot, I turned to Damian and said, "Damian we have a huge problem." "I reckon we do," Damian said. "No not about that. I have a feeling Liam cannot be trusted one bit."

Jade's POV

The ropes were biting into my skin, every time I tried to move. The gag on my mouth was very uncomfortable. And what I was seeing was just complete darkness. Granted I didn't have anything on my eyes, but being in the dark was equally scary. I started tapping my feet loudly as the door suddenly opened, the light blinding my eyes and a loud voice screaming, "Was! Halt die Klappe!" I didn't understand what he said so I continued tapping my feet. The man then growled something which I could only think was some sort of profanity and he slammed the door. Minutes later another figure walked in. Johnson looked at me and sighed, "Jade please stop." I mumbled a few words that he couldn't comprehend. He grabbed a stool and sat in front of me and gingerly removed     my gag. "WHAT THE FUCK JOHNSON!!! GET ME OUT OF HERE NOW," I screamed. "Lower your voice please. The people holding you are not very patient and they hate the commotion you are creating," Johnson said calmly. "Why the hell am I here? And what the fuck is going on? What are you and Richy upto?" I asked. "Jade. Trust me. This is just temporary. Another day and you will be free," he said. "That doesn't answer my question. Why am I here? And what are you and Richy upto?" I asked. He looked at me sadly, "All you need to know right now is that I am doing this for your own good. Just cooperate with me now and everything will be fine. Richy is helping me do the same." "Bullshit. I wouldn't be tied up like an animal if your intention was to help me," I snapped at him. "Jade please," he pleaded. The door opened and a man walked in, "You are needed elsewhere Mr. West." "I will be out in a minute," he said. "Now Mr. West," the man pressed him. Johnson sighed, "Jade please be calm and do not bother them. It will be better for you." He put the gag on me as I struggled and tried squirming away. Then he stood up and walked out of the door, closing it and bathing the room in complete darkness again. Frustrated, I started tapping my feet again. A voice sounded on a speaker and spoke in a heavy accent, "Miss Jade please refrain from doing that. You are annoying the people in the place." I started screaming. Though my voice came out muffled, the pitch was high enough to be borderline annoying. Suddenly the lights in the room turned on. For the first time, I could see the room. Right on the opposite wall to me, there was a dull mirror just a few feet away. The room was otherwise completely bare, with just a few stray stools and papers fallen on the floor. It took my eyes sometime to get adjusted to the bright light.
I heard a click sound in front of me. The other side of the mirror lit up. It was actually a two way mirror. Great. What would it be now. The angry swearing man watching me from the other side? I tapped my feet angrily. This was beyond annoying, it was inhuman and I was sick and tired of shit like this. I saw a figure move on the other side of the glass and walk slowly towards the glass. I squinted to try see who it was. When the figure finally stepped into the view, my heart literally stopped. NO NO NO. THIS WASN'T HAPPENING. IT MUST BE A NIGHTMARE. IT HAD TO BE. I squeezed my eyes shut and blinked multiple times. I must be hallucinating. Maybe they gave me something. I looked down at me feet for a few seconds, before looking back up again. It was him. He smiled. "Hello there Jade. Long time no see," Luke said as the words completely chilled my spine.
