Iggy made a small whining noise in protest. "Come ooooon..." He begged, a hint of playful tones infecting his words. "Say it, cuddle bug." He teased softly, lowering his head to my neck, effectively making my brain lose all control it had. Shame, I was doing so well.
"Nmotta... cuddle buh.." I murmured, my lips refusing to cooperate. Iggy laughed quietly against my neck, tightening his grip around my waist so he was hugging me. "Yeah yeah. Go back to sleep, sweetheart." He whispered. It was clear he was already drifting off, his head was buried in the crook of my neck, his breath was hot against my already warm skin. It was really warm, the start of a 3-day heatwave. It was getting way too hot to snuggle like that, especially with the fact that Iggy gets sick when it's too warm.
Despite this, I reached up to stroke his hair until I too fell asleep, dreamless this time.
I woke up to a camera flashing. I groaned quietly, but the fact Iggy's head was still buried in my neck made it pretty impossible to see what was going on. I heard quiet giggling and whispering, and had a feeling I knew exactly what was going on.
"Are you guys 10 years old?" I murmured quietly as I tried to shift Iggy off me with no success. I heard Nudge laugh. "Nope, but you guys were too cute like that to pass up." She said. I stopped moving when Iggy mumbled in his sleep and shifted slightly. I brought my hand up to stroke his hair to soothe him back to sleep. "Stop being so loud, Nudge." I warned quietly, finally putting Iggy's head on the pillow. He murmured once again, but stayed asleep. I lifted his arms from my waist, but as I sat up I kept holding one of his hands, hidden from the view of the others.
"Good morning." Max smiled cheekily at me. I resisted the urge to throw some object from somewhere at her head with my mental weirdness. I simply flipped her off. Before I could even think to get up, Iggy's sleeping form grabbed my waist and pulled me down, squeezing the life out of me with a dream hug. Max was the first to laugh, then Nudge. Then I was laughing, unable to contain or control any of it. I was a laughing puddle by the time Iggy rubbed the sleep from his eyes and sat up to try to figure out what was going on.
"You broke her." Fang pointed out, even he was smiling. Iggy glanced down at me. I was lying on my back now, my forearm raised over my eyes as I continuously laughed, physically not able to stop myself. Iggy chuckled as he brushed a lock of my hair from my face and slowly got himself out of bed, seemingly not even asking questions.
I must've fallen asleep after calming myself down for a few minutes, because when I opened my eyes again the others had gotten changed and were talking about what swimsuits Alisha had picked for them. I quickly slid from the bed and lifted my clothes before heading into the bathroom, hating the fact I had a tank top on and people could see me. Then again, I was about to go to the beach and wear a swimsuit. Probably should've thought that one through.
I stared at the clothes I had lifted, internally wishing I hadn't lifted them. Alisha had insisted I packed them even if I wasn't going to wear them. Hesitantly, I put on the denim shorts over my swimsuit bottoms, then the baby blue crop top and the thin white cardigan over the top. I wasn't planning on swimming, but I put them on just in case I changed my mind. My hair was getting longer, but it wasn't long enough to put up just yet. A few more weeks and it would be. I looked in the mirror and almost smashed it reflexively. At the last second, I had moved my hand so it slammed into the tile wall, making it crack but not fall apart. I winced and rubbed my knuckles before I folded the clothes I had slept in, unlocked the door and put them away in my bag.
I heard Iggy whistle suggestively, and then I heard him cry out as a picture frame cracked him in the head. Hm, it was mysterious how it flew across the room so easily, it must've been the breeze.
