Today marks the beginning of my journey to Nana's house, a trip I've been eagerly anticipating. With my bags packed and my excitement bubbling, I can't help but feel a pang of sadness as I bid farewell to Los Angeles. The past week has been a whirlwind of fun, mostly spent with Alex. We enjoyed romantic dinner dates and adventurous trips to the fair. The memory of his kisses lingers in my mind, a bittersweet reminder of the short time we've spent together.

Graduation ceremonies came and went, marking the end of my homeschooling journey. While I may have missed out on the traditional high school experience, I can't say I'm disappointed. School was never my favorite place, and now I can focus on my dreams of pursuing modeling and maybe becoming a singer.

With the final items packed, I emerge from my room, purse in hand. Two of my father's bodyguards assist with my luggage, loading them into the waiting limo outside.

"Promise me you'll be safe and responsible, Ava," my mother's voice is filled with concern.

"I promise, Mom," I assure her with a nod.

"And no wild parties," My dad adds sternly.

"Got it." I chuckle a bit. My mother reaches over and gives me a hug before kissing my cheek and letting me go.

After exchanging hugs and kisses with my parents, I make my way to the waiting limo. As I settle into the plush seats, I notice that Jason isn't behind the wheel. Instead, it's another bodyguard. I glance around and spot Jason seated beside me. His casual attire catches me off guard, but it suits him perfectly. In his leather jacket and white v-neck, he looks effortlessly attractive, almost like a model. Just as I was about to shake these thoughts away, he turns his head and my eyes meet his green ones. Embarrassed at being caught staring, I offer a sheepish wave in an effort to greet him, to which he responds with a subtle nod before turning away.

Arriving at the private airport, Jason opens the door for me and I step out of the limo and into the jet. Alone with Jason for the five-hour flight, I decide to catch up on some sleep, hoping to wake up refreshed upon arrival. Before dozing off, I send a quick text to Alex and Stephanie, bidding them farewell and promising to make up for lost time when I return. With a sigh, I settle into my seat, ready to embark on this new adventure.
