[Chapter 3] - A Rainy Day

(POV - Y/N)

"Damn... it's really pouring today." I muttered as the sky is in a never-ending grey tone while the streets were filled with little to no people as it rained.

Weather forecast yesterday said it was just gonna be a mild shower, no more and nothing less but this shit is something else, the streets are just blurred by now and it's a miracle that no vehicles have crashed yet... hopefully I didn't jinx it.

My phone then vibrated before I picked it up and saw the notification of my new shipments of books, technologies and gymnastic equipment have arrived. However, it's pouring like a waterfall out there so I'm not as willing to leave my store.

Technically, I can get my shadows to bring it back but I did want to stick to the motto of being a secretly overpowered person so that would be a no. Guess I'll get it at another time but that does not go for the groceries in the cabinets.

Sure, I can just open up the [Item Store] and get it from there but... I do want to take a walk, take a walk and hopefully not meet a homicidal deranged priest with a girl. Last thing I want to do is to draw attention to myself when I just want to manage my store.

"You know what? I need this walk." I muttered before grabbing an umbrella and stepping out into the rain.

After locking the doors to Café Kaleidoscope, I began walking through the wet streets of the city, I also made sure to steel clear of the left side of the entire city. While it doesn't mean the other side of this city is filled with hoodlums and gangsters.

What I actually mean is much worse than that, you know all those fanfictions where there is a huge crossover with popular anime franchises and there's this one guy who's the MC that is powerless and all? Yeah, I'm in that type of world.

But not to be alarmed since I don't attend the shit school called "Union Academy", and also, who made up that name? It sounds so retarded and cringey. 

As I walked through the rain, the amount of people walking alongside me increases as I got closer into the middle of the right side of this city. Since my café is positioned literally in the centre of the two sides, left and right, I had to walk quite the distance.

I also remember that the left side of the city where Union Academy is located at is called Yunaiteddo, translating to "United". Again, it's a shit and generic name, I don't know who came up with it but I guess it suits the academy if it's also a shit place to learn.

Union Academy is known as the most "prestigious" school made for training these gifted individuals and give birth to "heroes" that safeguard the justice of this world. While being applied to this place sounds like a high honour and privilege.

It is far from what everyone believes.

Which is why there are some organizations and factions that refuses to collaborate with the academy, earning the ire and of the ones possessing Quirks, Sacred Gears and Semblances.
