HC6- when he lets you see his face

⚠️Spoiler warning for those who haven't seen hunting palismen yet! ⚠️

• At first he is very hesitant when showing you his face, he always has it covered and it gives him security

• It'll be a couple of months kinda before he becomes comfortable, he has to make sure you're safe and once he gains his confidence around you

• The reason that it's so long for him to reveal his face is that he has trouble with trusting people, he needs to know you're a genuine friend (but also it kinda went quicker when he realized he was crushing on you)

• First he takes off his hood showing you his hair but keeps the front mask on

(For those who saw hunting palisman and saw that he didn't care about his mask being gone when he was with luz, I think of it as that he had more important problems to deal with than his face being shown and that he's still a little shy when showing his face)

• When he becomes better and closer friends with you while also gaining his confidence, he takes you somewhere where it's just you and him then he shows you his face

• You had to reassure him that it's alright to take his mask off before he does

• When he reveals his face he's worried of what you might think

• He thinks you'll think he's disgusting or even be worried about him from the way he looks

• Once he reveals his face you notice he has an arched nose, visible bags under his eyes from severe lack of sleep and possibly being overworked in the coven, a gap in his teeth and a scar reaching up from his jaw on his right cheek.

• You kinda just sat there admiring his face while also being partially confused as to why he would hide it, you thought he was actually really cute

• At first he thought the staring was a bad thing so he reached for his mask that was off to the side before you stopped him

• He looked into your eyes searching for any negative feelings that you might've had towards him but there were none

• You ask him about how he's doing in the coven since he seems very clearly tired

• He says that he hasn't slept in a long while and have been pulling all nighters trying to find a way to do magic on his own without his staff (also while reading books about wild magic)

• You were extremely worried about the lack of sleep he was getting, he's a 16 year old boy no one should be overworked like that

• Then, you practically ordered this man to take a nice, long nap

• And he couldn't disagree, he was in fact, very tired

• He also appreciated how much you cared about him despite seeing his face, he was sure you'd think he was gross

• Confidence boost 100%

• You let him finish up coven duties before forcing him into his bed so he could sleep

• Before leaving his room to go and head back to your house (wherever that may be idk lol) you hear him call your name

• You turn back to him and he steps forward shyly wrapping his arms around you giving you a hug

• You hug him back rubbing his back a little bit before you release each other staying at arms length

• "Hey, I wanna ya know, thank you for caring about me so much.... No ones ever really cared about me as much as you do"

• Yea that brought tears to your eyes, he deserved way more than what he was treated like in the coven

• "Of course Hunter, anything you need I'll always be here"

• He smiles and hugs you once more before letting you go and getting into his bed to sleep

• You leave, happy to see his face and that he was open enough to tell you that something was up

• Hunter had really good dreams that night
