When San was troubled and none of his friends could help him, it would only make sense for him to go to where he came from, his mom. The crescent moon after the one where they fought came too quickly, he was sure he wasn't ready to see Jiseol without shedding a few tears.

Mentally saying sorry to her, he used that time to visit his house and talk to his mom about it. Of course San wasn't going to tell her the whole thing, he had to filter the story even just a little, making sure she doesn't suspect anything.

Most of San's time was filled with reflecting and overthinking about his situation. They were both at fault. Jiseol was sorta right, he had no reason for overreacting because she has a life other than their little crescent moon meetups and had to do her duty as an assassin. But she also had no reason saying such mean stuff to him.

Despite Jiseol kissing him afterwards which he assumed was an indirect apology, his heart still couldn't help but sting as her words rung in his head like a broken radio.

He doesn't know what it was, but something pushed him to tell his mom bits and pieces of it. San was aware not to accidentally overspill just because he was hurting. He only told her about their situation and with that little thing, his mom had already realized her son finally found the person he loves and will love for a long time. The way he spoke so delicately and highly about her was enough. She was relieved to know her son finally found someone he actually loves so that his dad won't have to push him so much about finding a partner.

Something in Mrs. Choi told her that this girl is the one. It didn't matter if she barely knew her, as long as her son was happy, she was happy. Overjoyed, she decided to give San her engagement ring with his father, giving him a chance to decide when he wanted to do it.

It was the second crescent moon since the forbidden couple had their first fight. Jiseol had a hunch that tonight, San was going to come. She wanted to get there much earlier than usual, hoping to show than she really was determined in setting things back to how it was before their fight. Thankfully, the lad wasn't there when she arrived. Even if this whole 'arriving early' thing was her choice, she still couldn't help but feel anxious if he would come at all.

Thoughts and questions filled her mind once again. Oh no, she told him if he can't handle the fact that she has a life beside this, they shouldn't do it anymore. What if he took it by heart? What if she'll never see him again? Jiseol clenched her fists tightly and her breathing went jagged as the thought of not seeing San anymore haunted her.

She was so close to ripping her hair out because of how stupid she is to say those things when a familiar figure settled themself beside her. She looked up immediately.

"Kitty!" The lass lunged herself on the boy, practically squeezing the life out of him. Oh how grateful she was to see him again.

"Hi." The lad let out a small smile as he wrapped his arms around her as well.

After that short reunion, Jiseol looked up at him with the saddest eyes glossing with tears yet it was filled with determination. "San, I'm so sorry. I did not mean any of the words I said last time, I promise. I tend to say meaningless and hurtful things when I'm angry. I'll work on that flaw of mine so please forgive me. I am so sorry."

"Ah Seollie, it's okay! I'm sorry for overreacting too but I do admit you hurt me a little." San laughs as if they didn't fight in the first place.

When he calmed down, he looked back down on her as their eyes locked. It was something that happened often but they will never get tired of the feeling it gave both of them. It was as if everything was going to be okay. It felt like falling in love over and over again. It felt like going home. That was true though, they both were finally home.

They spent those few moments of silence taking in each other's presence before San noticed a few tears running down Jiseol's face. "It's all good now, I'm okay and you're okay. Don't cry, my love." He lovingly kissed her left temple then stuck out his pinky to which she responds to by wrapping hers around his.

Welcome home, Nam Jiseol and Choi San.
