Damian was shocked till date noone had seen the pain in him he broke up with rachel because she cheated on him not once but again and again the first time he saw photos to which she told all these were photoshopped second time it was misunderstanding third time she thought it was him fifth time he caught her Red handed his heart was shattered knowing that she never truly loved him .
His mother had killed his sister because she was a hindrance she always protected him to go so far she sacrificed her freedom and life she always protected him when they were at the leaugue of assasins by taking all his blame on her head He remeber her last words promise me that you won't let my death affect you in anyway

Ever since then he hid all his pain noone ever found out that he was in pain He never thought marinette will find this out who was he kidding he tried hiding his pain from a person who has been hiding it since she 5 . His sister died 3 years back when he was 20 .
He also let the darkness consume him he hugged marinette really tight . The next morning marinette woke up first she saw damian next to her hugging her by her waist tightly She tried getting out of his grip without waking him up but his grip on her got tighter she sighed in defeat and layed back . She runs her hand through his hair

Ma: good morning akki
Da: when did you wake up
Ma: just now
Damian removed his hand from her waist and sat up
Marinette also sat up she took her phone and was checking through something she had a serious face
Da: what happened
Ma: nothing just checking through some company work
Da: hmmmm
Ma: I have 6 meetings 5 events to organize 1 song to upload , upload the news that I am doing a concert in gotham and find a city to organise a fashion show and finish all the desgins for the fashion show . And all this in one day .
Marinette thought it was her mindvoice but she told it out loud .
Damian looked at her
Da: how do you manage all this alone
Ma: it has now become a normal routine for me
Da:hmmm how long will it take to complete all these work
Ma: 19 to 20 hrs
Da: when will you sleep
Ma: I am an Insomanic I can only sleep when I have an emotional outburst or by taking sleeping pills
Da: so you sleep rarely
Ma: yep come lets go home it is already 6 am I need to start my work
Damian nodded
Both of them went back to wayne manor . Marinette went to her room and had a bath and changed her clothes

she came down to see everyone at thebteakfast table having breakfast she Said good morning
Bat fam except damian: good morning/ pixe pop blueberry /marinette
Ma: today I have some extra work so I will be home late I have to leave ei am already she grabbed a apple from the table and said bye
She came out and took her bike since she needed to complete all her work fast
She recahed her office her Pa came and told her agenda and other things She attended all the 6 meeting which took 6 hours then she opened her tablet and called the organisers of all 4 events who was organising the event she started giving instruction to all four of them . The employees understood her as they have been working under her for 4 to 5 years
After she finished giving the instructions she asked them all to send the pics of entire event
Which they did she checked everything it was perfect this took another 5 hours then she posted the news that she is organizing a concert in gotham on 17 December . She told her concert organizing team to organise it qnd told them how she wanted it and she called people and told them about the passes and guards everything which took 2 hours she forgot to eat in all this process .
She then sat and started designing clothes for both her fashion show and Concert . Which took about 6 hours . She saw the time it was 2 amin the morning .She left home at 7 am. She took her things and went back to the wayne manor when she reached she saw damian in the living room typing something in his laptop
Ma: you haven't slept yet
Da: no I had few documents to complete and I have few more documents and I will be done
Ma: let me help u with it
Da: no you just came back and you must be
Ma: no worries I can do the least by helping you
She went and sat next to him she took half of his documents and went through them she completed all the documents in 1 hour along with damian she had taken a low dosage of her sleeping pills and anti depressants before she left her office
Ma: done the file which I used red marker outside it means that doing that deal would lead you either bankrupt or destroy your companies name
Damian nodded
Ma: come lets go to sleep
Marinette stood up but she feel back on her seat of course due to weakness this lady hasn't had any food from morning she has been running the day on Black coffee sugarless and to top the ice cream she toom sleeping pills
Da: what happened
He asked with slight concern in hsi voice
Ma: nothing to worry about I think the sleeping pills have started showing its affects
Damian sighed and lifted her in bridal style
Ma: no worries I can walk to my room s Da: shush I will carry you to the room and your not at all heavy
Marinette just nodded damian took her to her room and laid her on her bed
Da: good night tenshi
Ma: good night akki and sleep here only From the looks I can tell that you will fall asleep the moment you hit the bed Damian nodded and slept next to her both of them cuddled to each other and let the darkness take over them
