Chapter 2: Louis

"Adalia, okay ka lang? namumutla ka kasi." Nakita ko sa mga mata ni Sam ang pagiging concern niya sa akin. I looked at my palm to see if I am really pale. Shocks, wala nang dugo doon. Kaya ko pa naman. Hindi naman ako mahihilo neto.

After thirty minutes since the mass started, I felt dizziness in my head but I did not mind it too much because I can still handle myself. Malapit na rin matapos ang mass kaya tapusin ko na.

"Adalia, okay ka lang ba talaga? Kasi super namumutla ka na at kailangan mo na pumunta sa clinic." Felix whispered at my back because we cannot stay beside each other since my school is very conservative.

"Oo, oka–" I was about to say it, but I lost my balance already, and I felt tears coming down my eyes. Good thing nasa likod ko si Felix kung hindi, mahuhulog na ako sa floor.

"Patawag si Ma'am Honey kasi need ni Adalia pumunta sa clinic and nahihilo siya ngayon." I heard Sam called someone, but I did not bother to look at them because my dizziness is slowly taking over me. Ayan kasi puyat pa at hindi ka pa nakakain.

"Sino pwedeng umalalay kay Adalia?" She asked my classmates quietly since the mass is still ongoing. This isn't very comfortable. I hate myself.

"Ako na lang po Ma'am." I heard Talia's voice, and they both started to help me stand up to go to the clinic. Hala, clinic? May quiz pa ako mamaya.

I was looking on the floor while Ma'am Honey and Talia are assisting me to go to the clinic because I am ashamed that I will not finish the mass today. Dapat kumain ka man lang kanina, Adalia.

We reached the clinic and let go of Ma'am Honey's hand since I can manage myself already, and Talia will assist me in going to the clinic's bed. When I managed to sit on the bed, the nurse came inside and asked me. 

"Iha, ano nararamdaman mo?" she asked me sweetly, and her eyes were concerned too. 

"Ngayon ko lang po nararamdaman yung hilo and pagod po." I said to her shyly because I am guilty that I did not rest very well. 

"Ano ba ginawa mo kagabi? Wala ka bang tulog o kain o both?" patay. I'm dead. Triple kill ah. 

"Tinatapos ko po yung project po namin kagabi kaya wala po akong tulog at nalipasan po ako ng kain kasi po late na po ako kanina para po sa mass po ngayon." hala nakakahiya. Nandito si Ma'am Honey at baka ma-sermunan ako since ayaw niya na may nagpupuyat sa mga students niya lalo na't adviser namin siya. 

"Kaya naman pala. Ang kailangan mo lang ay kumain at magpahinga ngayon dito sa clinic. May quiz ba kayo ngayon?" Hala, I have no choice kung hindi manatili dito kasi hindi ako makakapag-concentrate kung ganun. 

"Meron po pero itake ko na lang po siya mamayang dismissal po." I answered her question politely. 

She nodded and went outside the clinic. I saw Ma'am Honey and Talia move forward and looked at me. 

"Dapat hindi kayo nagpupuyat at nagpapalipas ng gutom ng sabay kasi baka mahimatay kayo tulad ngayon, muntikan ka na Adalia." she told us calmly and we both nodded. 

"Okay po ma'am. Try ko pong iwasan and mga ganito po." I told it to her with assurance so that she would worry about me. 

"Oh siya, punta na ako dun sa mga kaklase mo at baka nagkakagulo na sila doon. Talia, halika na at sumama sa akin para makapagpahinga na si Adalia." she said to me and they both went out the clinic. I laid down on the bed to rest because the nurse advised me to rest so that I can attend my classes in the afternoon.
