His voice raises a bit in volume unintentionally. "You've seen what people do to those they deem mutts! You've seen the ridicule of our kind that we have to face, the nasty looks we get in public, the wariness and isolating of themselves away from beings they see as so much more dangerous than them. Lee-hyung can't protect you from them; I can, my pack can, our pack can."

'Our', he likes the word 'our' too; 'our' meant sharing, 'our' meant equal chances for opportunities and overall acceptance from those that have let you in. It didn't have to be Bang Chan's pack as long as it could be Bang Chan and Felix's pack too.

But the omega shakes his head, going to part his lips once again but the alpha is on a righteous ranting spree by this point; a wild glimmer of franticness is alive in his brown eyes.

"They've frickin shot you with an arrow, Lix! What more proof that humans hate you do you want? You'd be safest at the pack house; you'd feel comforted and secure and loved and free -"

The silvernette finally rips his hand from the brunette's grasp, stomping his foot as he mouths furiously, 'Good people-'

But Chan only dismisses him in nearly hysterical frustration. "Are superficial; stop turning a blind eye. I had to face this too growing up, I had to leave everything behind and start my own life, my own family out in the woods where I could learn and grow and be myself! And sure, I was only thirteen and it was scary but the sooner you grow up and face the truth that this isn't your home, the easier it will be!"

The omega growls warningly at him; if he wasn't already grasping at straws to get Felix away from danger and on his side (the pack, the pack, the pack, he has to be in favor of the wolf gang) , he would have realized that he's crossing a very delicate line with much more force and harshness than he should be.

He rambles with hands flying up into the air, "We're the only family you've got Felix-"

The omega's gaze darkened.

"Lee-hyung wouldn't be able to provide for you like a pack can-"

His nostrils flared.

"I just want what's best for you because I genuinely care about you, a lot, okay? Come to the woods with me; escape these heartless beings, these monsters in human flesh! Join my pack; be my mate-"

With what can only be described as a guttural bark of anger, Felix kicks the bed, hard enough to rattle the frame and make the alpha freeze in his tracks.

Too far, too far; much too far.

He had never heard such a noise escape the usually cheery and smiling hybrid, only laughter and giggles and content sighs or fondly exasperated huffs. He can't bear to look him in the eyes; he can't bear to raise his head from the submissive slouch he had immediately positioned himself in.

A long, heavy exhale cuts through the thick tension (the alpha worries what it could be a sign of). Chan stares at the omega's feet as he, eerily calm, brushes past him (at this point, he's in relative fear at such a sudden switch of demeanor too).

Now his thoughts run with creeping anxiety, mulling over the countless mistakes he made in this conversation that probably splintered the trust they have slowly been building up between them. First and foremost, Chan wasn't listening to him; he always listens to him even if that entails being patient and observant and using more of his eyes than his ears.

He didn't give Felix a single chance to demonstrate his own opinion; he just talked over him, again and again. And normally when he jokingly did that, the omega would hit him but this time...

He really messed up.

The bedroom door creaks open and then Chan's gaze is meeting the other's blue orbs that were iced over with an obvious sense of betrayal; 'Out,' Felix mouths with a curl to his lips.

"Lix, I'm so so sorry-"

A tear rolls down the omega's cheek but his expression does not change even as he shrugs one of his shoulders to wipe it off. ' Out .'

And the alpha feels his heart crumble because not only did he pressure, guilt trip, and dismiss Felix, but he also made him cry with absolutely nothing to show for it. He probably just blew any chance of Felix ever wanting to see him again; he broke Felix's trust and used his lack of speaking against him.

He swallows hard, hot tears welling in his own eyes at how quickly that warm gaze turned cold and unforgiving with a few mistaken words and actions. Do I really mean so little to you?

He ducks his head in shame as he walks out of the room, looking back just in time to see the omega slamming the door shut.
