(Drawn by me:)
It doesn't take long for the alpha to return to that familiar flower shop window, peering inside to see Felix behind the counter with a pink little apron tied around his waist (obviously eager to get back to work now that his neck wounds were fully healed).
He was awkwardly trying to pick up a box of vases with one arm; his stubbornness seemed to fuel his desire to complete the task all by himself but the alpha knew that there was no way when his other arm was still in a sling and recovering from a fractured elbow.
Chan rushes to his side in an instant despite the anxiety swirling in his stomach, coming up behind the omega and snatching the box from him with ease. Felix whirls around before relaxing at the sight of the alpha.
"Thought doc said no heavy lifting," he scolds lightly, a playful small tugging on his lips and a single eyebrow cocked.
The silver-haired hybrid rolls his eyes, flicking his wrist in a 'whatever' motion before turning to the small door leading out from behind the counter.
Chan leans back from his slumped position and gives a glance around, "Um so these go..?"
Felix flashes an amused smile before gesturing to follow him as he walks to one of the display cases, pointing at a cleared shelf.
The brunette kneels down and places the box beside him before unloading the glass vases into their proper place.
"Dumping old arrangements or did you just break the others while trying out that super strength in your left arm?"
Felix glares at him, kicking his backside and making the alpha wobble on the balls of his feet with a tiny yelp.
Chan giggled sheepishly as soon as he regained his balance. "I'll take that as a no to both."
The omega nods with a deadpan. He then taps the glass of the vase nearest Chan's hand and mouths 'prettier'.
"Oh, is that so? That has to be your personal touch to shop," (pretty people like pretty things he refrains from adding). "Your nagging self even got to old man Lee-hyung; poor guy, he was probably threatened against his will."
Felix shakes his head in fond exasperation, kicking Chan a little harder this time to make sure the older fell on his backside. Which he did, earning a breathy evil snicker from behind the hand of the smug omega; Chan just looks up at him with a dopey grin.
"Why do you cover your mouth when you laugh?" He inquires, watching as Felix's expression falls.
The silvernette opens his left hand, showing his palm, before closing it into a fist. 'Face scrunches'.
The alpha tilts his head. "So? What's wrong with that?"
The omega just averts his gaze, rubbing his upper arm insecurely with a slight shrug.
"Well, don't. I think you're cute."
Felix's eyes widen as he whips his head to stare at the brunette.
Chan's ears flush, realizing what he just accidentally confessed. "W-When you make that face, I mean. N-Not saying that your face isn't cute all the time- Because it is- Wait, no, that's not what I meant," the flush spreads to neck, his hands waving frantically through the air as if he was trying to swat away his own words, "I d-don't find your face cute; nope, not at all- You're so not cute- like you're the not-cutest person in this entire town-"
At the omega's frown, Chan backtracks and begins to panic more, blurting out, "Because you're the prettiest! Cute is overrated!"
A splash of pink adorns Felix's cheeks and as if that wasn't bad enough, Chan finishes off his word vomit with a final, "I like your face!"
And then he just inhales sharply, holding his breath as he awaits his impending doom.
He half-expected to be hit again, or for the other to just brush it off as teasing and roll his ice blue eyes before wandering off, but instead Felix is just flusteredly staring at him with his mouth in the shape of an 'O' and his skin a lovely shade of rouge.
The tension is starting to get to Chan, his heart practically beating out of his chest at this point. Should he say something else? Should he wait for him to do something first?
His inner wolf is running laps, tail wagging forcefully into his ribcage, and he will most certainly blame his next words on the lack of oxygen making its way to his brain. "Don't y-you like your face too?"
That does the trick: Felix points a pretty little finger at him (with a plain metal band that he wasn't quite sure the origin of) before bringing that same finger up to the side of his silver head and twirling it in the universal cuckoo symbol. And then he receives the kick to the ass and mouthed 'Dummy' .
But he couldn't really mind it too much, not with that twinkle of a foreign emotion in Felix's shining eyes that makes that sick feeling in his stomach turn to butterflies.
It wouldn't hurt to hold off on the real reason he came here today just for a bit longer, right?
He doesn't want to ruin this; he so doesn't want to ruin any of it.
