...

"...fine..." Midoriya said in defeat.
He didn't want his mom to get involved with what was going on.

He decided to come up with an accurate answer that wasn't the real answer as to why he was acting the way he was.

"Well?
Spill" Bakugo hissed.

"My mom...

The amount of time she has left decreased..." He replied.

Bakugo's eyes widened, "huh?!
Why?!
How!?

That's possible!?"

Midoriya nodded his head.

"How much time does she have left...?"

"7 months..."

Bakugo's eyes widened even more as shock overcame his system.
"How, why, what?!
How did it change?!
What made it changed?!
Why did it change!?"

"My quirk tells me how people die based on their current health, standing, and what they do.
If one of those changes the way they die changes...

I guess my mom's health is going down..." Midoriya replied, still not making eye contact with Bakugo.

"Did mine change!?" He asked in dismay.
Midoriya felt like throwing up, he had pretty much hit the nail on the head right there...

"No..."
Midoriya had to lie.

"Phew...
Well then, what're you going to do about your mom?"

"Ask her what's wrong.
I need to know why she suddenly went from having 3 decades of life left to now 7 months..."

Bakugo nodded his head as he got out of the way and watched Midoriya walk away.
"But you didn't explain why you kept glancing over at my head?"
He sighed and watched Midoriya just leave.

Midoriya shortly made it home.
He walked over to his mom who was in the living room.
He hardly talked to her, with how life was he didn't want to...
She had given up hope on him since he was 4...

"Mom..."
His voice was raspy from holding back tears.
She looked up surprised, their eyes met.

Midoriya's eyes were dull and looked dead.
Like he had just watched everyone he ever loved get brutally slaughtered before him.

"Izuku...?"

"Mom...
What did your doctors say to you...

You had a doctor appointment yesterday didn't you...?" He asked.

She bit her inner lip as he eyes filled with tears, "I guess I really couldn't hide it from you...
Especially with that quirk huh"
A tear streamed down her face as she stared at izuku.

"What did the doctor say...?" He asked once more.

"I...

Have stage 4 leukemia...
I have cancer...

The doctor told me I shouldn't have been ignoring so many visits...
But it's too late now.." more tears streamed down her face as Izuku stared at her in utter shock.

He knew something was wrong with her health...

"Why didn't you t-tell me?" He asked as tears of his own streamed down his face.

"I didn't w-want to worry you...
I feel so bad...
For everything I said to you...

I k-know it wasn't r-right of me...

But I...
I can't let you b-become a hero..." She replied.

Midoriya bit his lip hard, drawing blood by accident.
He dropped his bag and ran to his room, unable to face his mom any longer.
The stress had gotten to him.
