chapter 10

Those fuckers again.

Scowling, Bakugo turned towards Deku, who was already looking at him. Those assholes had laid low for months now, but now they were back.

"I'm going to go help out the others get out, move on without me."

Deku turned towards the hero, "Wait what, shouldn't we stick together?"

"No, our biggest concern is getting the girl out. Go!"

He didn't need to be told twice as he blast the final wall down. Grinning, he ran forward with the shitty nerd right beside him.

The rest of the hallways were free, which was a little concerning. They had expected to face the villain that was causing the walls to shift, but there was nobody. That meant the villain moved, and he's probably targeting the rest.

"We have to move forward, what's the quickest route?"

Deku pointed towards the corridor on their left, "This way."

Their footsteps echoed through the empty hallways, until they turned a corner and halted.

There were bodies on the floor unmoving, one look at their mask and he recognized them as Overhaul's men. Crouching down, he placed two fingers on the neck of the nearest body

"They're alive, just unconscious."

Deku raised a hand to his ear piece, "We just encountered unconscious yakuza members on the left wing. Lemillion, was that you?"

"No, I'm still moving north. I haven't bumped into anybody."

The two looked at each other in confusion. Lemillion was ahead of them, and if he kept moving straight, then who knocked them out?

"If it wasn't you, then who did?"

Several 'not me' echoed through the ear piece, setting the entire team on edge. There was someone else here, someone they hadn't taken notice of yet.

"Tread carefully you two. We don't know what side they're on."

"Copy."

Bakugo ran around the bodies, keeping his eyes open in case any was faking being unconscious. The more corners they turned, the more bodies they found. They were getting closer to the floor where the young girl was being held captive.

At first, they predicted the floor would be heavily guarded. But if these unconscious bodies were the guards... then someone must have gotten to her first. They just didn't know who.

Their silence was interrupted as Lemillion's voice urgently spoke out. "I found Overhaul, he has her with him."

"Lemillion, don't engage, we're on our way." Sir Night Eye spoke out, but was interrupted.

"I can't, he's going to run with her. I need to intercept Sir."

"Deku and I are on our way, give us the location."

"Northwest, B5."

The two began to run forward, they had to be quick. Togata's quirk was impressive, but even he couldn't last long against someone as dangerous as Overhaul.

"He's moving forward, I'm fighting off two yakuza now. Ground Zero and Deku, go up a level."

The floor above them began to shake, that must be Lemillion fighting them off.

"Lemillion, what's going on?!"

They got no response back.

Yelling, he began to propel himself forward with his explosives, not caring about the damage left behind.
