(Earlier that day)

I wake up from yet another nightmare. I lay there, sweating, my eyes wide open, as I wait for the dream's spell to fade away. It wasn't as bad this time, but the events swirled around my head continuously, and I remember it clear as day.

The fear that my class had for my quirk was much stronger in the dream. They feared I would turn into a villain, so they tied me to a chair, and left me in the woods, with no food or water. Yes, the dream itself was small, but just the thought of everyone leaving me alone, to die... it scared me. What if it happened? No matter how many times I told people that I would become a hero, no one would believe me...

As my heartbeat returns to normal, the dream slowly evaporates. Taking a few deep breaths to calm down, I hop out of bed and prepare for yet another day of school. Well, at least it's Friday, I thought.

I run down the stairs for breakfast, to be greeted by an empty common room. What? Where is everyone?

I look at the clock. Damn! I'm going to be late for class! Why didn't anyone wake me? My dream from last night answered that question.

They're so scared of me, they won't even bother waking me up if I oversleep. No... I'm sure that I'm wrong. Right?

I brushed the idea off my shoulders - even though it hurt a little - and I quickly head to class, without having any breakfast.

- Time skip a couple of hours because I can -

So hungry...

The past hours were absolute torture! My stomach would not. stop. growling. But I've finally survived to lunch.

I quickly grab a tray and pay for my lunch before heading toward my spot in the corner.

(A/N: *Me sitting here for thirty minutes, not knowing how to continue*)

Pretty soon, I hear chanting coming from a table across the cafeteria. Then eventually everyone seemed to join in, cheering someone's name. I stand and move to get a better view, and sure enough, there's the angry guy - Bakugo, I think; who wouldn't remember someone so loud? - standing on a table chugging hot sauce.

Alright, completely normal.

Then something catches my eye. Well... someone...

He had messy yellow hair with a black lightning bolt streak. He wore a black T-shirt with lightning bolts and the word "zap" in big yellow letters. The most eye-catching thing about him was his smile. It was so bright, it seemed to fill the whole room.

Okay, that was exaggerating things. But his smile made me feel... well, better. Like there was hope for me in this world. I feel my cheeks heat up.

Oh no.

No, we're not doing this.

No love.

I shake my head and turn back to my table, where I throw my trash in the trashcan and run to my next class, early, trying to push the lightning boy out of my head. The classroom was empty and I slip into my seat and bury my face in my arms. That did not just happen.

I tried to calm down, but nothing seemed to work. I've heard some people clear their heads by going shopping. That's a thing, right? Maybe I could try it, and I needed some summer clothes anyway.

So it's settled then. After school, I'll head to the mall, in an attempt to clear my head.
