"..."

"Why?! Do you hate me that much?" The bastard Vegas stared at me. I immediately turned my face away from him.

"..." I didn't know what Vegas would do after this. Somehow, he didn't look daunting with his behavior, and he didn't look as angry as his voice. But I still didn't trust him anyway.

"Fuck! What's wrong with you?" Vegas cursed. He was like talking to himself. He ran his hand through his hair until it was completely messed up. I didn't even want to turn around and look at him now. I was already scared. And it was getting harder and harder to keep it from showing.

"HEEEY!" I suddenly heard Macau's voice. I was sure it was him because Vegas had an immediate reaction even though it couldn't be heard very clearly. He hurriedly walked out of the room without any hesitation.

"Boss Vegas, Miss Pim and Boss Macau are fighting again," I looked up through the glass door and saw his underlings running towards Vegas with agitated expressions. Vegas ran out immediately.

When I saw that, I was relieved that Vegas finally got out of the room. I rushed to the bathroom, managing to take off my pants and quickly washed away the dirt from my body. I kept scrubbing hard until a red streak spread across my chest. The soothing scent of the soap hit my nose which made me calm down. I began to think of various reasons in my head. Just now, why was Vegas like that? My fear began to fade little by little. The paranoia began to disappear as well. Now, only questions and confusion replaced every feeling I had.

Maybe I'm succeeding? Vegas is probably starting to get bored of me. I wasn't that rude anymore. I didn't fight and I didn't talk back much. He might be not having any fun anymore. It was boring, not exciting, because I didn't offend him like I used to! This method worked. I was baffled but I felt like I could finally see the light at the end of the tunnel in my vision. Shit, Pete! You'll get to escape!

My shower lasted for an hour. I tried to stay calm and normalize my mood as much as possible. I had to forbid him to show his disgrace because he was playing with me again. I had to go with the flow! Just follow what he says! I checked myself and put on the same sweatpants, not wanting to only use a towel because I didn't know if Vegas had returned. And as soon as I walked out of the bathroom, I was surprised! That bastard just came back into the room.

I kept drying my hair with the towel, pretending to ignore him. Vegas looked cool, but his face looked like he was embarrassed about something. His eyes looked gloomy, as if he couldn't focus. He walked over to pick up a pack of cigarettes, then went straight to the balcony and slid the door wide open. His back leaned against the edge as he lit a cigarette.

God! Why was he smoking there? I want one, too. Argh, I haven't smoked for a long time. I want it, I really do. I was so stressed that I wanted to take ten cigarettes and light them all together and take a deep breath. Damn it! Frustrated, I walked over even nearer to him. My body unconsciously approached his direction and inhaled the smell of cigarette smoke that continued to flow in the wind. My life is so miserable!

While I was deciding whether I should ask for one or not, I was afraid he'd get mad at me. I could only make up my mind and take a deep breath. I've already thought about it in the bathroom. I won't show my fear or paranoia to Vegas. The more I saw how he's starting to act towards me, I got more determined. Huh, he was starting to get bored of me. Get bored then, I won't fight you and I will act as normal as possible.

"Is it so wrong to be my true self?" I was a little startled when Vegas suddenly spoke up without a warning. Sigh... My mind was weak right now. "Is it wrong for me to be gay? It's like he's never seen me or Macau as his children."

Vegas blew smoke out of his mouth. His gaze was distant for a long time. I turned left and right to check if he was talking to me or not. But in this room, the only people were the two of us. He was probably talking to me.
