Hannah's POV.

I sat there looking at him waiting for him to start talking.

" I know you've been through a lot but if you don't let it go, you'll keep hurting yourself and the people that love you too. You have to forget about it". He said.

" So, she told you. Then why don't you go ahead and tell him too".

" You think? She told me nothing. Only that you have your reasons for doing that".

" Then who told you? Apart from her, only my friends know and I'm sure they aren't the ones that told you".

" You may not know this but a person with a broken heart can hear the sound of another broken heart. I see myself in you. The old me. That's how I know. I was also in the same situation as you but know who got me out? It was your best friend. She doesn't know I figured you out but it has been long since I understood your situation. Someone once said to me, ' Try and give yourself another chance. A second chance perhaps. Not all are the same. You'll get to be with someone who will never leave your sideʼ and it was like a fairy tale because the same person who gave me this advice was the one I fell in love with and now happily married to. So, I am saying this to you too. Give yourself the chance to be happy. Everyone deserves to be happy. You can take control. I know you lost control too. That's why he got the chance to betray you but you can change that. Take things slowly, figure him out and after that, if you are not comfortable with him then don't go ahead with it but I know he will never let you get uncomfortable around him".

He said and my heart softened at his words. I felt guilty for blaming my best friend at first. She must have gone through a lot trying to help two of her best friends give love a second chance. He was through a lot. Just like me but he's totally fine now. He doesn't look like it and it's not like he forget about it since he can still talk about it. She never said anything about him going through something like that to me. She truly is a best friend.

" Thank you. Thank you for trusting me enough to tell me what you also went through. I'm glad after all these, you're now happy with your soul mate. Iman is a person all will wish to have. She's really strong. She have been struggling with our situations and thanks to God, she now have to deal with only me. May your bond keeps getting stronger each passing day". I prayed with a smile.

" You can be more than this happy but that will only be possible if you give yourself the chance to. Just think about it, we suffered but they only moved on with their lives. If they can be happy, so can we. He's not worth it. Keep telling yourself that. Alameen is suffering too. He hardly sleeps. He's all worn out and he's starting to lose focus. Please help him and yourself".

" You are right. He's married. Who knows with a child maybe and happy. He's really not worth it. Tell me something, how did you know she was the one?". I asked out of the blue.

" You can feel it. At the beginning, we were just friends but then I wanted more. Like it wasn't enough. I couldn't even stand the thought of Iman with another man. Then, one day, I saw her with someone and every second of it hurts. When I asked who he was,she said he loves her and I couldn't stand it anymore as I was having sleepless nights and so, I said it out one day when we were out together. She was shocked at first and was on the mentality that she only sees me as a friend but you know the sweetest thing about it was that she didn't turn me down. Only asked for space and time to figure things out. I know the only reason she did that was because she didn't want me to get hurt for the second time, The second chance she wanted me to give myself,she gave it to me and after some time, we started taking things slowly and here we are". My eyes were almost filled with tears hearing him talked about their love story. It is the most romantic story I've ever heard.

" Your story is so sweet. I am so glad you two ended up together. You said one can feel it but truth is, I don't feel anything when with him. Yes, he might not let me get uncomfortable around him but that's not the case, I always end up not wanting him around me. You see, my situation is different from yours" I lied.

"Thank you for the advice really but truth be told, I'm good. I hope he finds the right person" .

" Iman is right".

" Right! About what?".

" She said you are stubborn and I can see that now". He said.

" I know". I whispered. " Let's have something to eat. Check out the menu". I said taking a deep breath.

" Yes. You are right. I haven't eaten. It's on you right because I have no money. Like no money". He said with a serious expression and then burst into laughter as he couldn't hold it and I joined in too.
