Sleepover

"Hoot, hoot! Your little green haired friend is here!"
Luz's head jerked up with excitement, "There's only one green haired girl I know, and that's Amity!" She got up to her feet and skipped towards the door. But as she reached towards it, she suddenly felt butterflies in her stomach. It was her! And she'd have to bring her news that they were staying in a sleepover alone together! Willow and Gus said that they couldn't come. Willow knows about her and Luz and Willow sure knows how to be a great wingwoman. "It'll go great!" She said "There's nothing to worry about, Luz" but there was a pit in her stomach as she braced herself for when Hooty opened the door.
There she was, Amity Blight. Her skin glowed in the sun and her amber eyes were like daffodils in spring. She was wearing a dark purple t-shirt with a black long sleeved cardigan and a checked black and white skirt. Each second she looked at her, she seemed more and more beautiful. Wait no! Ok, Luz. She's just your friend. And lets keep it that way.
"Amity! You're here!"

"Hey Luz!" Amity squeaked with excitement. She sure was nervous, standing in front of Luz. She had the same goofy and excited smile she liked to see and Amity tightened her grip on her small rucksack. She was finally going for a sleepover with Luz! Oh gods help me- she thought.
"Come on in, Amity! There's no use of you standing outside all day - it's a sleepover!" Luz chirped. With a hop in her step, Amity made her way inside. Hearing Luz's voice was like music to her ears. The aquamarine haired witch made her way inside and looked around with curiosity. There were loads of things all over the place. She'd been in there a few times but every time she saw something she hadn't noticed before. She couldn't help but see that the place was a little messier that she last remembered seeing the house.

Before Hooty shut the door, a gust of cold air entered the room. "Brr, it sure is cold today!" Luz commented.
"Yeah, apparently there'll be a snowstorm soon tonight."
"Waaaaa Nooooo!" Luz tilted her head back, bringing up her fists. "WHYYYYY, Curse Boiling Isles weather, I was thinking of going to the market today!" She said in a half offended manner, although Amity could pick up a small tinge of sadness.
Amity couldn't help but let out a small laughter. Luz could be so silly sometimes... actually was more often than not.
"The market?" Amity replied, tilting her head to one side.
"Yeah, apparently every now and then they hold something like a funfair!"
"A funfair?" Amity cringed as she said the word out loud in a non fluent way .
"Ohh, right! It's what humans call a place where there are loads of fun rides and games and candy. Just like the carnival we went to a week back or so." Luz was filled with memories of her and her mami doing to one of them in the human realm. A pang of sadness hit her chest but she quickly ran a hand through her hair and tried to change the subject.
"So, you want anything to eat Amity? Have you eaten lunch?"
"Oh uh, no I haven't actually.." the witch said as she gently placed her bag and purse on the floor by the big couch. Her voice trailed off and she looked towards the side.
Luz stood on the balls of her feet quickly and turned towards the kitchen and hopped a few steps. "I'll make you something, then!"
Amity followed Luz into the kitchen. She couldn't help but notice the skip in her step, how she was so confident and the way her arms swung so casually by her side.
"So, what would you like? I think there are a few things that I can cook up or there should be something edible somewhere..." Luz started to open a few cupboards and took out some ingredients. Amity stood by the entrance, not sure what to do. "Luz, it's ok. You don't have to do anything!"
"No, no it's all good I'm just trying to find some sugar!"
"Here, let me help you" Amity quickly drew a circle in the air to bring down a tin of sugar from one of the top shelves that she spotted. It was probably to not let her little demon,King, get his hands on it. Luz reached for it and brought it down to her chest level.
"Woah," Luz said, spinning the tin and eyeing it around to look up a second later at Amity. "That was awesome!"
All of a sudden, Amity's cheeks started to go warm so she turned her head away in an attempt to show that she wasn't actually blushing. Every time Luz would compliment her, her heart would flutter.
'Oh, it's ok." She drew in a quick breath and faced the girl again. "What are you thinking of making?"
"I think the easiest thing would probably be pancakes! It a human food which is really easy to make and plus, it doesn't take too long."
That's SO COOL. AND LUZ WAS MAKING IT FOR U S!
"Are you going to help or not?" Luz said jokingly as she took a measuring cup.
"Yes, I'm coming"
She took a few steps to stand behind Luz. It was incredibly thrilling to even stand so close to her. Luz turned and looked at Amity with a confused look.
"Where are the measurements on this?"
"Oh, it's right here." Amity reached her arm next to Luz to point at a little scroll-like mechanism.
