You turned to Caleb as he spoke to you.

Caleb: Now give us our ball back and return to your seat, we need to finish the game, don't mind the injuries though.

All of them were laughing except a few. You had your guitar in its bag slung over your shoulder behind your back. You looked at the ball in your hands and turned to him with an expressionless face.

Y/N: Take it if you can.

You threw the ball so far away that it landed into the river. And with that you started walking away ignoring their angry voices and threats. It would be fine since they didn't know you studied in the same school and you weren't going to let anyone talk to you like that.

The next day you were at your usual spot under the tree listening to music as it was lunch break. You were observing some ants while listening to music when someone stumbled there killing some of the ants. You widened you eyes as you heard a thud and a person fell in front of you on their butt. It was Jungkook.

Jungkook: Arghh!

He groaned in pain. He sat up and looked behind the tree to see if anyone was coming. He sighed in relief and sat leaning on the tree. But the next moment he swore loudly as he saw you sitting beside him with a blank face.

Jungkook: Aish-sippal!!! (F*ck in korean)

He put a hand on his chest and heaved a sigh.

Jungkook: You scared me! What are you doing here?

Y/N: I should be asking you that.

Jungkook looked at you with a scrutinizing gaze.

Jungkook: Are you following me?

Jungkook asked raising one eyebrow. You chuckled.

Y/N: Too full of yourself, aren't you? Do you even know me?

His answer surprised you.

Jungkook: Yes, you're the girl from the park yesterday. So what are you doing here?

You shook your head.

Y/N: I didn't know you were this dumb. I study in this school.

His face twisted in confusion.

Jungkook: Then why have I never seen you?

Y/N: You ask yourself.

Y/N: But what are you doing here? I mean it looked like you were running from someone.

Jungkook: I was running away from Eunwoo. He wants to take me to the library to show me some history books. I hate history but he was adamant so I ran away from him. You must know him, right? Cha Eunwoo, grade 12-C? Oh even I haven't introduced myself. Jeon Jungkook, class 12-C.

He extended his hand to you.

Y/N: Nohara Y/N, class 12-C.

You replied ignoring his hand and focusing on the ants again. Jungkook let out a trusfrated sigh.

Jungkook: Why haven't I seen you if you are in my class?

You just kept observing the ants without saying anything.

He stayed silent after that and you plugged your earphones in your ears and started listening to music again occasionally swinging your head to the beat unconsciously. You felt a gentle tap on your shoulder as you turned around to look at Jungkook. You removed your earphones and looked at him waiting for him to say what he wanted to say.

Jungkook: I'm sorry for yesterday.

He said in a guilty tone. You looked at him with a blank face and asked.

Y/N: What happened yesterday?

Jungkook: About the ball hitting your head...

Y/N: Did you throw it at me?

Jungkook: No, I just want to apologize for their behavior towards you.

He said in a small voice.

Y/N: Why couldn't you just stand up to them back then instead of apologizing for them right now?

You asked in a calm voice as you didn't want to seem angry.

Jungkook: I did, but they hardly listen, especially Caleb. They think it makes them cool.

You hummed in reply and were going back to put your earphones on when he stopped you.

Jungkook: Umm so you play the guitar?

Y/N: Didn't you see me playing yesterday?

Jungkook: Yeah I did, hehe. Actually I was wondering if...

You tilted your head.

Y/N: If ...what?

Jungkook: I was wondering if you could teach me how to play the guitar.

You didn't know what to say. If you get associated with him, you would surely draw a lot of attention which you definitely didn't want to deal with. So you refused.

Y/N: No sorry I can't do that.

You avoided eye contact.

Jungkook: But why?

He persisted.

Y/N: Because I'm not that good at it.

You lied.

You sighed and gave up.

Y/N: Yeah I have been playing it since one year. Fine, I'll teach you. But I have a condition.

Jungkook: I'm okay with anything you say, just teach me how to play the guitar.

He said excitedly.

Y/N: Fine, I'll teach you how to play guitar at the riverside when you're free but other than that, we have to act like complete strangers to each other.

He was confused by your weird request but agreed anyway.

Y/N: Then I'll see you at the river at 6.

You left him there and moved towards your class.
