A wonder of life―youth
So carefully preserved
Just illustrating the truth,
That age cannot be returnedGoes up and never comes down
All that without moving a bit,
At that joke you frown
Don't go now, and have a fit!For I know my youth
Will slip from me soon,
No more being lazy―oof!
Won't want to watch any cartoonsNot that I still do anyway,
Acting like everything's beneath,
Can't see past my nose―a dismay
Staring blankly at a leafShould I do more
Or should I be less
If yes, what for?
Will it cause more stress? That's too frightening too mull over,
Too much time for my peace of mind
Wonder if one day I won't be sober,
If there'll be nowhere left to hide.
