Ayato's P.O.V

"So what are we here for again..?" asked Kei

"Akane apparently wants me to buy presents for friends."

"For what exactly?"

"She was just talking about how I should be thankful and stuff. And since it's Christmas, it would be a perfect time to get them a present."

"I see.."

Kei and I were walking along the hallways of this mall that happened to be nearby my house. There was a great number of people here, mostly couples..

"Isn't it weird?" I said

"What is?" 

"The fact that there are so many couples out at a mall on Christmas.."

"Yeah I thought so too.."

"Wouldn't couples on days like these be going on dates or whatever?"

"Who knows.."

"Yeah nevermind.. I shouldn't be talking about this in front of someone who was single for her whole life."

"S-shut up! Say's the guy who's been dating at such a younger, immature age!"

"I'm obviously joking, Kei."

"You sure as hell didn't seem like it!"

"I promise you, that I was joking."

I started rubbing Kei's head, resulting in a messy hair style.

Maybe it was out of habit, 

But I found myself head-rubbing Kei quite often whenever I was around her.

"What are you doing.."

Kei, I've done this too many times to count.

Are you not used to it by now?

"What does it look like?"

"Messing up my hair..?"

"Yup."

"Why..?"

"It's fun."

Kei turned her direction at me with the pouting/frown face. 

I'm not even gonna lie, it was one of the cutest things I've witnessed before.

Actually, it might be THE cutest thing I've witnessed before.

Kei please stop looking at me like that you'll make my heart bleed.

Oh god this is gonna be hard to start a conversation..

Cuz' I don't wanna stop looking at her adorable face.

Um..

"So, is there anything you want?" I asked

"Huh?"

"Like, do you want to eat something or..?"

"Why are you asking that so suddenly.." said Kei with a skeptical look on her face.

"No reason."

Kei leaned in closer to my face and just stared into my eyes.

This is incredibly awkward, doing this in such a public area.

I started hearing whispers around us. There were even fingers that were pointed at us.

Why the hell is this happening?

"Kei, people are watching."

Seriously, how much attention did we attract?

Kei had snapped back to reality and looked frantic. She kept looking around us, seeing other couples whispering, and pointing at us.
