Chapter 45: Vulnerable

Start from the beginning

He gallantly rose from his throne while the white light illuminated his gorgeous silver armour, diamond crown and chain made of fluffy clouds.

"Fear, hate, anger, jealousy, intent to harm or murder are the fuel, the food for Omegon and we will no longer appease his hunger, his appetite," continued Valliantious.

He placed his aging hands onto the granite table while he gazed upon the faces of siblings.

"It is time for all of it to end. We will inform our Apprentices of the truth, Omegon is rising and they need to be prepared for the worse and to be prepared for The Third Great War."

"They need to know Apprentice Hall is a safe place. A place where they will learn how to defeat the likes of the Dark with the aid of the Light. We need to fuel them and ourselves with hope, with courage, with joy, with love, with friendship to combat and conquer this."

"That still does not answer the question of how we will avoid such a situation from happening again," bellowed Heliocana and the chandelier lights dimmed to lime and illuminated her. "Those are strong words but at the end of the day, that is all they are, words."

"Hallious's preventative measures will be executed. My Othyrus Castle Warriors will be summoned at once and will be placed at each and every entry point of the Houses and Apprentice Hall borders," replied Valliantious to his sister who still seemed unhappy with the proposition to law which was presented before her as final.

"Now. No more interruptions. It is time for us to act and demonstrate why this Hall was created, why we are here and how we will demonstrate the right behaviours to lead to the just outcomes," replied Valliantious directly to Heliocana.

She was in court and the judge's decision was final with out any evidence presented and analyzed for effective and truth.

Fire surrounded Heliocana and thick thorny vines encircled Blackthorn and the two darted out of the doors closest to them. Lighting electrified Hyperiown and water poured down on Ponthious and the two vanished.

Dematah and Hallious arose from their seats and silently acknowledged Valliantious. They appeared enlightened to the fact that something else was bothering him. They acknowledged each other and departed with mercury and sand devouring them.

Each Hyod stood above their main atrium on a hovering golden balcony affixed with their sacred Beastial lofting it up.

Each Hyod had their House in absolute silence while they addressed the issue of the Messiah of Darkness rising and the penetration of Dark Warriors into Apprentice Hall and most importantly of what method would be undertaken to prevent it from happening again.

In the House of Wind, the warriors from the storm quickly scattered to the main atrium, only to see Lord Vallinatious' hovering eagle balcony, abandoned while fellow comrades, bickered and whispered about the coming Dark.

The Ice Instructor and Othyrus Warrior Al-Shire arrived and began addressing the Apprentices in the absence of the Lord of Wind.

In the darkened corridor to his chamber, Valliantious rapidly materialized in front of Hyflame, the wind from his appearance fluttering the young warrior's black hair.

"My lord. Welcome back," said a surprised Hyflame.

He bowed to his beloved Lord, very happy to see him. But he looked mystified to see his Lord's physical appearance as if it should not have been possible like a deity to be prayed too but never seen.

"Thank you. Now I want you to summon Flain and Arion at once and bring them to my chamber," demanded Valliantious with urgency in his tone.

Before Hyflame could undertake his orders, Arion and Flain materialized with lightning and shards of metal slithering off their bodies.

"The rumours are true. You have returned my Lord," gasped Flain, looking up at the tall and noble Lord.

"There is no time for welcoming gestures. Head to my chamber at once," replied Vallaintious with authority.

Lord Valliantious' tone sent shivers down Arion's spine. There was definitely trouble in the air and surely the tense shoulders of his fellow Elders showed he was not alone.

The three Apprentices followed their master down the dark arched corridor while it began to illuminate with the aid of hovering eagle lanterns with each step they took. They reached the silver picketed gates enshrouded in clouds and quickly burst through to the other side.

Valliantious opened his palm and released a small moon into the dark night ceiling. The light from the moon illuminated each warrior opposed to the entire room.

Arion, now covered in silver light asked, "What is so urgent my Lord, so urgent that it takes you away from addressing my fellow comrades whom would be pleased to know you have returned?"

"I have found three more warriors to complete the six Elders of my House like that of the other Hyods and will be embarking with you Arion to bring them to the Hall," replied Valliantious, not acknowledging their bewildered faces.

Arion looked to Hyflame and could see the look of displeasure on his face. Hyflame was not being chosen to embark on a quest with the great Lord Valliantious, but he, Arion was.

He smirked with pleasure, but something was bothering him deep down and no doubt it was also troubling Hyflame and Flain.

Why did Lord Valliantious choose this moment, a time of crises to bring upon three new Elders? Why did he not choose the three final Elders from his House? Was he training them in secret and not him?

"Finally, the opportunity to pass on our skills to others," cheered Flain, the shortest of the three, the moonlight elucidating his silver skin and joyful face.

Hyflame looked like he wanted to reprimand Flain for his words however Lord Valliantious seemed to be an obstacle.

"Hyflame, you will be in charge while we are gone."

Hyflame nodded, but it did not go unnoticed by Arion that the Fire Warrior would rather be in his position, embarking on a journey with Lord Valliantious.

To see the great Hyod of Wind in action would be a sight to be hold like the rare planetary alignment which was due to happen in three years.

"Lord Hallious will over look my House as the Hyod in charge while we are away."

With everything said Valliantious thanked Hyflame and Flain for their cooperation, grasped Arion's right arm, and dematerialized with wind encircling them both, leaving behind Hyflame and Flain standing in the moonlight, perplexed by Lord Valliantious' sudden return and his newest and somewhat risky endeavour in the time of absolute crises.
