I could feel the anger coming from Carlisle, I felt to blame for what had happened to Lilith if I had just taken her away soon her I could have saved her.
When we got home everyone was already waiting for Carlisle and me in the living room, "what's going to happen now that she has told you" Rose did not even wait for us to sit down
"I will have to report it then she will most likely be put in"
"NO" Alice shouted, "I have seen how this plays out she will be sent far away to another abusive home one more abusive than the last until she jumps off a cliff when even Jasper won't be around to save her" she and Esme had tears that could never fall building like walls behind there eyes everyone had intense anger even Carlisle, on top of me already being angry I quickly took off for the forest.
When I stopped I remembered that I still had my phone in my pocket
'Hey J I need to ask a question I quickly texted J.Jenks who was a good friend of mine
'Of course Jasper what can I help you with'
'There is a girl who needs a safe place to stay would it be posable to take her in without having to go through the foster system'
'Any way you would have to go through the foster system but you could offer her a place to stay and tell her social worker you will have a higher chance of being awarded custody if the home is seen as safe, how old is she'

'You would definitely be saving her most 17-year-olds will grow out of the system or placed in an abusive home'
'thanks, J' I ended our conversation and headed home explaining to everyone what the plan was.
Year time skip
Carlisle had reported Lilith's parents and we were allowed to have her live with us, Lilith had bravely stood against her parents.
"Lilith I need to tell you something" I gently pulled her onto my lap lightly kissing her on the cheek
"Is something wrong" she turned her head to face me quickly placing her lips on mine
"No, it's just, have you noticed anything wired about us all" she was silent for a couple of seconds before nodding "well we are vampires" a small smile dawned across her lips and I knew that we were going to be together for the rest of eternity
Several years later
Lilith was getting sicker as the days passed, Carlisle did not know if she was going to last the month, I was heartbroken we had just given into Alice's pleading to plan the wedding, how would I cope, I lightly kissed her head as she fell asleep in her bed she had spent the last week just lying there. My phone started ringing.
"Hello" the sadness thickly lining my voice
"Jasper" the feminine voice at the end was engulfed in a Spanish accent "you sound so sad what is the matter"
"Carmen, it's been a while, my... my mate is sick and won't get better and there's nothing I can do about it because of the treaty" I look at Liliths pail face
"If both you and she want I will change her then you will not be breaking the treaty" I felt the venom building behind my eyes
"Are you sure Carmen" I did not want her to struggle with the lust for blood I knew how hard it can be
"Yes only if you both want"
"Thank you so much" I hung up and went to explain everything to my family then Lilith
Month later
We all got in our cars, I sat in the back of Edwards Volvo, holding on to Lilith as she was slowly fading in my arms. "Faster," I told Edward as we sped through Canada
"Jasper I am going as fast as the car will let me" I felt awful for snapping at Edward. We soon arrived first to get there, then Carlise, Esme, Alice and Thomas turned up closely followed by Rosalie and Emmet.
Carmen came out to meet us. She showed us to the room they had prepared for her. I gently lay my tired mate on the bed, giving her one last kiss as a human before Carmen came and bit her.
