Lan Wangji, Wei Wuxian and Lan Rin were in Lengshi and waiting. Lan Rin was nervously walking around, she was worried especially after the events of the Dafan Mountain, Lan Wangji spoke:
"Rin, calm down."
Lan Rin:
"Wangji, how can I? I don't get it."
Lan Xichen entered the room with Jiang Cheng and Wen Wing. Jiang Cheng looked at Wei Wuxian, lots of emotions passed from his eyes, Jiang Cheng said:
"It's you."
Wei Wuxian smiled warmly:
"Jiang Cheng."
Jiang Cheng:
"Where did you two go?"
Wei Wuxian:
"It doesn't matter where we went, we are back now."
Jiang Cheng approached Wei Wuxian, he touched Wei Wuxian's face then he pulled Wei Wuxian into a hug, a tight hug, he buried his head on Wei Wuxian's shoulder and started crying. Wen Qing looked at Lan Rin and asked:
"Where... Where is A-Ning?"
Lan Rin:
"He is... Near Gusu. He, what exactly did he do?"
Wen Qing:
"What do you mean, take me to A-Ning!"
Lan Rin:
"So that you die? Qing, he did something to reach us, what did he do?"
Wen Qing:
"Is A-Ning safe?"
Lan Rin:
"Yes, he is safe. He is near here but, I need to know what happened to him or else we can't save him."
Jiang Cheng looked at her and said:
"Rin, what is the hurry?"
Lan Rin:
"Wanyin, I can't save Ning if I don't know how he came to us."
Jiang Cheng:
"Came to you?"
Lan Rin:
"Yes, at some point, Ning found me, well us but, I didn't let him go to Xianxian just in case. Ning can't die, he is unable to die but he can lose his free will, that is why I want to hurry!"
Jiang Cheng and Wen Qing sat down. Wen Qing spoke:
"A-Ning would sometimes roam around, staring blankly after you guys died. He wouldn't recognize us. One day, he suddenly went to Qishan, Wanyin and the disciples found him but he wasn't reacting to anything at all when he came back."
Lan Rin sighed and said:
"Ning destroyed his mind."
Jiang Cheng:
"What?"
Lan Rin:
"Ning destroyed his mind to reach us, or Xianxian, doesn't matter why, it matters that he did."
Lan Xichen:
"How do we help him?"
Lan Rin:
"Simple, awaken his mind."
Wei Wuxian:
"I already did."
Lan Rin:
"This is different, he must have used Skull Piercing Nails."
