Letter From A Poet

It's not that I don't feel
It's that I feel too much
But I live in my head
(Don't we all?)
And the only way I know how to express myself-
The only way I learned how-
Is through writing
And I promise
I will continue writing
Until the day my heart and lungs give out
Leaving only my soul to haunt my words
