"Oo naman. Gusto mo ito anak eh, masaya ka dito. Kami, susuportahan ka lang. Alam mo anak, nung nasa edad mo ako, kahit na ipagtulakan ako ni Nanay na magboyfriend, di ko magawa kasi busy ako mag-aral ng law."
"Dapat ba Ma, nagdoctor po ako o nag law?"
"Hindi anak. Hindi required ang kahit ano para maging proud kami o mahalin ka namin. Mahal na mahal kita, alam mo yan."
I smiled. How lucky can I get?
"Anak, kung gusto mo magboyfriend, sige lang. Gusto ko na ring magkaapo anak."
"Mama, bata pa po ako."
Mama laughed. "Wag kang nagpapabrainwash sa Papa mo ha? Tingnan mo ang mga pinsan mo, puro may asawa na. Baka maunahan ka pa nung kambal at ni Eurie."
"Mama, pag narinig tayo ni Papa magagalit sya."
"Naku! Hayaan mo yung matandang yun. Gusto ko lang talaga yung happy yung baby girl ko."
Mama and I talked a little more while my father packed their things. When I was younger, Mama used to be the stricter one, pero nag turn ng 180 degrees after ko magdebut. While Mama's relaxed most of the time, Papa got stricter. Pero kahit ganoon pa man, alam kong mahal na mahal ako ni Papa at Mama.
There was one point in my life that I thought of being a doctor or lawyer so my parents would be proud of me. But Mama made me understand that I can choose whatever path I like and they would still love me the same. Kaya naman pinagbuti ko ang career na ito so they would be proud of me.
I would be forever grateful to my parents, kahit na hindi nila ako tunay na anak, minahal nila ako ng sobra sobra. I am their princess. I could never ask for more.
"Ma, mamimiss ko po kayo."
"Ako din anak. Mamimiss kita."
"Anak, can you please come home with us naman? Your Nana is always asking when can you visit her."
"I will soon Papa."
"And stop wearing clothes like that."
"Lukas ha!"
Tita Aria laughed.
"Doc Luke, this is a well known brand. Si Ayie and endorser kaya dapat syang magsuot ng creations nila."
"But Aria! Look at her."
"It looks really good Lukas. Aria, please make time for my daughter's rest. 22 lang sya, mukhang mas matanda pa sya sa akin."
"Yes Atty Traea, sige na, ako na ang bahala sa anak nyo. Sobrang in-demand kasi, she seems to take it from you."
"Ako ang kamukha ng anak ko!"
Mama just laughed. Mama would always win against Papa except for the topic kung sino ang kamukha ko. My father would raise hell if someone will tell na hindi ko sya kamukha. Kakaalis lang nila pero miss na miss ko na ang pamilya ko.
I saw Tita Aria standing at my door front.
"Tita?"
"Oh Paano Ayie, mauuna na din ako ha? Anjan naman si Mary, sya na bahala sayo."
"Okay po Tita. Ay Tita, nakalimutan ko po ipagpaalam, anjan po kasi sila Myelle at Adam, they are asking if I could grace their event."
"Oo naman, just don't endorse any product."
"Okay Tita."
"Si Mary anjan lang ang kwarto sa tabi ng sa'yo. Tapos andito si Jessica sa same floor, andoon sya sa kabilang wing."
