Hi, everyone! How's the story going? I just want to remind you that everything in this story, once again, is purely fiction. Certain familiar scenes or parts are coincidental. There is no real life connection or grudge against the people or places in France (eg. Eiffel Tower or Palais Garnier) that are included in this book.

Thank you! Basa na ulit, hihi.

"I almost got arrested."

"Huh?"

Humarap siya sa'kin. "Well, you told your story. I think it'll be fair if I tell mine."

Saka lang nagsink in sa utak ko ang sinabi niya. "So kasabwat ka nga!" Turo ko sakaniya.

"What!?" He exclaimed.

Nilabas ko ang phone at pinakita ang post ni Patricia kung saan naroon siya sa likod. "Yung scam sa homecoming party. Ikaw 'yan 'di ba?" Turo ko.

Nagtatakha man ay tinignan parin niya ito. He tilted his head. "Oo ako nga pero-"

"Hala!" I shouted.

"Pero hindi ako kasabwat!" He shouted back. He did a big exhale as if I just gave him a painful headache. "I was just invited to that stupid party and volunteered to collect their tickets. I didn't even know those thugs were carrying drugs." Paliwanag niya.

Kumunot ang noo ko. "Drugs? Akala ko ba scam?" All of a sudden, this case had gotten deeper.

"It is. People paid huge amounts for that ticket because they knew that a band will be performing for the party."

"But no band showed up. Instead, cops raided in." I realized.

Tumango siya. "Exactly. Sinama lang kami ni Ford doon. Malas lang at ako ang nangolekta ng tickets kaya pati ako napagbintangan."

Idiots dressed a party for their drug business, scammed people and made them pay big money, dangerous men killed one of the accomplice while trying to get back what's theirs, and this slightly innocent guy had to go under tutoring punishment which got me involved. Poor them. Pati si Ford ay nadamay sa gulo. Now I understand how serious his situation is.

"Then just explain that to your parents. That way, you won't have to be punished anymore." Saad ko. And by what I said, that means no tutor classes for me either.

"Nah, it's fine. It won't change anything. That was a week ago anyway. Bakit alam mo ang tungkol doon?" He asked.

"Narinig ko lang." Pagdadahilan ko. Magsasalita pa sana siya nang biglang may lumapit sa amin.

"Putain! Kaya pala wala ka kanina sa attendance." Sabi ng papalapit na si Ford kasama ang ilan sa mga kaibigan nitong lalaki. Nagpaalam siya sakanila at iniwan ito.

"Ford." Tumayo si Khael upang batiin siya. They both look like freshmen who cut classes while still carrying their backpacks behind them.

Tumingin siya sa aming dalawa. "Ano 'yan? Date?" Pagbibiro niya. Nanlaki ang mata ko.
