liquid sunshine

you were liquid sunshine and daffodils,
you painted my world of monotone grays
with sunny yellow hues stolen from the sun herself.

you sealed my wounds with molten gold,
and made me believe i was more than
just a gaudy blotch of pyrite.

my frenzied heart forgot its autorhythmicity when i was with you,
my mind swirled with the iridescence of splintering diamonds,
and for a while i forgot about the
corrosive curse of tragedy in my doomed veins.

but you were selfish weren't you?
you knew  that your bones carried
sealed fates and hushed whispers of the lull of death.
you were born to die
why did you have to love me,
if you knew i would have to see your lifeless corpse
instead of your honeyed beauty?

the words still drill through my skull,
han seo is dead
han seo is dead
han seo is dead.

what was once liquid sunshine,
was now reduced to rotting iron and crimson rust.

i still wish it was me, not you.

A/N

so this was a bit of a different poem, i hope its not as bad as i think it is.
also, in case you are curious of the choice of names, this name is the name of my favourite character who suffered an undeserving death :/
