Chapter 55 - Being a Total Badass!

Harper rushes into her quarters frustrated. Whilst everyone outside stands there shocked
"What have you done this time?" Capp asks
"Nothing! Get back to the drill!" Kelly shouts
"Truck 81, Person Trapped, Holland street" The Intercom Says
They all run into the truck and drive away
"Are you okay Captain?" Amelia asks
"I'm great Amelia!" Harper says
They arrive on scene to see a woman lying on the middle of the road
"That's funny? I thought they said a person trapped?" Harper says as they all jump out the truck
"Herrmann get the ba-" Harper says before she is cut off by gun shots
They all run behind the truck and take cover
"That son of a-" Herrmann shouts but he is cut off the woman's scream
"She's been shot! I need to get over to her!" Harper shouts before heisting but then running out to the woman
"Captain!" They all shout
Harper gets down next to the woman holding her hands up
"I swear to god if one of you shoot you will have no fingers to pull the trigger with!" Harper shouts as she puts pressure onto the woman's wound
"Truck 81 to main!" Harper says through her radio
"Go ahead truck 81" Main replies
"I need an ambulance sent to our location" Harper says
"Okay! Ambulance 72 are on a call but I'll send them after" Main says
Harper quickly thinks and she knows the woman doesn't have time to spare. So Harper picks up the woman and carries her over to the truck
"Captain?" Herrmann asks
"We're taking her to med! Hurry up!" Harper says loading the woman into the back
Amelia jumps into the drivers seat and starts to drive away. Harper takes off her jacket and applies pressure to the woman's wound. Minutes later they arrive at med and hand off the girl and drive back to the firehouse
"You should have seen Captain Bailey in action today! She was a total badass!" Amelia says
"Oh! How so?" Casey asks
Amelia fills them in on what happened on the call but before they can respond Grissom walks in
"Get your ass over here Bailey!" Grissom shouts
"Grissom! What can I do for you?" Harper asks smiling
"Oh you know exactly why I'm here!" Grissom shouts
"Yes I did transport an injured woman to Chicago med in the back of my truck and do I regret it no! In fact I just got word from med that she is out of surgery and is going to make a full recovery and if I had waited until an ambulance had arrived then she would have been dead! Oh and I am a fully qualified paramedic and was the PIC at one of the best firehouses in Miami! Now it's the end of my shift and I'm free to leave! I'm not doing any overtime unless your paying me for it! I'll see you in 2 days Grissom!" Harper says as she smirks before walking out with all of her things in her hands
Everyone stands there shocked including Grissom
"Is she trying to get herself fired or worse killed?! I swear to god Kelly you better get you wife under control! Before I do!" Grissom shouts before walking out
"That's my girl" Kelly mutters under his breath
Harper arrives home and is greeted by aria
"Come sit down with mum for a sec!" Harper says picking aria up and carrying her to the couch
"What's wrong mummy?" Aria asks
"You know some day your gonna leave this world behind and you need to leave you mark on it! And if that means that you have to be a total Badass then you have to! Your Aria Severide! One of the baddest girls in the planet! Don't let anyone tell you otherwise!" Harper says as she smiles
"Okay mummy! I'm a badass!" Aria says as she laughs
"That's right honey! Just don't tell your dad you said that!" Harper says as aria runs off to play
