Chapter 53 - Family over Friends

It's the day after Harvey's funeral and Harper is at home with Kelly and the kids. The twins and Devin are going out with Benny for the day and Aria has a school project to finish.
"What are you doing your project on Princess?" Harper asks whilst making breakfast
"It's about something or someone that inspires you! I'm gonna do daddy!" Aria says smiling
"That sounds great honey!" Harper says
"I also have to do a presentation on a job! I'm gonna do a firefighter! Daddy said he would help me!" Aria says as Harper puts her breakfast in front of her
"Well you better eat all your breakfast up! To get some energy in!" Harper says as she laughs
Harper gets the twins and Devin ready and hands them off to Benny for the day. Kelly comes out of his room
"Hey! Where are you going?" Harper says as Kelly gives her a kiss
"I'm going out with Casey" Kelly says
"What?!" Harper says grabbing his hand
"What's wrong?" Kelly asks confused
"You said to Aria you would help her with that firefighter project!" Harper whispers so that aria can't hear her
"Shoot!" Kelly says
"Are you ready dad?!" Aria says as she holds a giant piece of paper along with pens and stickers
"Look Honey! Daddy has to go do something with uncle Casey today! But I promise I'll be back soon!" Kelly says getting down to arias level
"Okay" Aria says disappointed
Kelly gives Harper a goodbye kiss and walks out. Harper turns around to see aria getting set up and waiting for her dad to get home
"I can help you if you want honey?" Harper asks
"No thanks mummy! I think I'll wait for dad!" Aria says looking at her supplies
3 hours pass and Kelly still hasn't came home. But aria hasn't moved
"How about I call Auntie Gabby? You could do a paramedic project?" Harper suggests
"No thanks! I want to do it with daddy!" Aria says looking at the door
2 more hours pass and Kelly still isn't home. Harper has gone to check on aria and she has fallen asleep on the table
"I'm gonna kill him" Harper whispers as she picks up aria and carries her to her bed
Harper is sitting on the couch when Kelly comes in
"Where the hell have you been?!" Harper says
"I got a bit carried away with Casey!" Kelly says as he hangs up his jacket
"Aria Kelly! She waited for you today! You said you would help her remember?!" Harper shouts
"Oh no! Did she wait for me?" Kelly asks coming to sit next to Harper
"I offered to take her to Gabbys! I offered to take her to Bodens! But she only wanted to do it with you! And you let her down Kelly!" Harper shouts
"So what?! I'm not allowed to go out an have a good time anymore?!" Kelly shouts back
"I'm not saying that Kelly!" Harper shouts as Kelly steps closer to her
"Then what are you saying?!" Kelly says getting closer and closer to Harper
"That maybe you need to set your priorities straight!" Harper says getting a little scared by Kelly
"So what?! Always pick aria over you or Casey?!" Kelly says pointing his finger in Harper face
"Kelly!" Harper says as she can see aria in the corner of her eye
"What?!" Kelly screams
"Your scaring her!" Harper shouts as Kelly turns around to look at aria standing groggily at her bedroom door
"Princess! I didn't mean to scare you!" Kelly says stepping closer to aria but she steps back
"Just leave it Kelly! Now look what you've done!" Harper says picking up aria and slamming the door
Kelly sits there frustrated....
