Chapter 19

Isabella's POV:

I woke up around seven in the morning next day and got ready. I wear the same outfit I wore yesterday and go downstairs. I went into the kitchen and Maria was preparing breakfast.
I went towards her and greeted her "Good morning Maria. Is there anything I can do?" She turned around and smiled "Good morning to you too dear. I am just finished. However, can you please make a cup of black coffee for Alex?" "Of course" I replied and started making coffee. I finished making coffee and went into the dining room. Mr. Knight was sitting on the head of the table with newspaper in his hand. Maria and Katie were talking among themselves; Alexander was sitting next to his father busy on his phone. Jacob and Nathan were not there. Alexander was wearing a white shirt with dark blue suit and pants. He was looking fine as hell.
Shaking my head at these thoughts and gave the coffee to Alexander. I kept the coffee at the table and was about to turn around, he held my wrist. I looked at him with questioning gaze. He just said one word, "sit" and I obeyed him. I sat next to him and started eating my breakfast.

Everyone finished their breakfast silently. After breakfast, I was picking up my plate when Maria interrupted, "Leave it there cara. Maids will take the plates and Alex will drop you at your home." I just smiled and nodded at her. I was talking to Kathy about our next plans when I felt a presence behind me.
I turned around and saw Alexander was standing there with a blank face "We should go." I nodded at him and hugged her. Maria came downstairs and said, "You guys are leaving? Just a minute" she said and ran upstairs. I looked at Katy but she just shrugged in response. She came back inside with a bag in her hands. "This is for you," she said as she gave me the bag. I immediately denied, "I can't take this from you." "You bought delicious cupcakes for us" she said. "And you invited me for dinner. So we are equal," I argued. "Fair enough signorina (young lady). However, I am not going to listen to you. Now take this bag or I will send the whole shop at your place" she said with a stern voice. My eyes widened at her statement, took the bag, and said "grazie" (thank you). I do not want to spend their money on me. "Come on lets go." I nodded at Alexander but as we reached the main door Katy came and whispered something in his ear, his eyes widened a bit and glared at her but she did not mind him and winked at me as she left. I looked at her weirdly. "Let's go" Alexander said and opened the passenger door for me. I quickly got inside and murmured a thank you.

He jogged down towards the drivers seat and started the car. It was silent for few minutes before he spoke, "Don't think that I forgot about what happened at your house and last night's nightmare." My eyes widened and my palms started sweating but before he could say something, I saw that a black SUV was following us since we left the estate. I do not think he noticed so I told him, "Mr. Knight I think someone is following us." He looked at the rear view mirror and his jaw clenched.

"Fanculo russi" (Fucking Russians) he muttered under his breath before pushing his leg on gas pedal. I was scared but his voice snapped me into reality, "Can you drive?" not trusting my voice I just nodded. "Okay. Now come and sit on my lap and take the control." I just stared at him with my mouth open. I could not say anything. "Come on bella. We dont have time." I nodded again and crawled over the center console, he grabbed me by wrapping his arms around my waist, and I put my hand on his shoulders to maintain the balance. Our faces were very close, if any one of us would move we would kiss. I was literally straddling him. I moved around so I face towards the steering wheel and placed my hand on it to take control. Alexander's breath was fanning over my neck, which made me shiver. Not in a bad way but in a good way. "Now I want you to get up and make some space so that I can move to passenger seat. Okay?" he whispered in husky tone. I felt tingles erupt in my stomach as he spoke. I nodded and moved a bit so that he could move to passenger's seat.
