Ariana's POV

I'm laying down on the couch with my eyes closed and the sound of some show playing in the background. I know y/n said not to stay up and wait for her all night, but it truly is hard to sleep without her. I can slowly feel myself drift off to sleep, just as I'm nearly there, I heard keys being put into the locks, but I didn't bother to move just yet as I heard the door creek open

"Shh, stupid door" y/n said

"Ariana?" She asked taking notice of me

"Hm?" I hummed half asleep

"I thought I told you not to stay up all night" she said

"I didn't" I replied

"Yes you did, it's already three am" she said

"I couldn't sleep without you" I mumbled

"Come on, let's go to bed" she said

"No, I don't wanna move" I said opening my eyes and rubbing them

"I'll carry you" she said

"No, just come lay with me" I said

I watched a she thought for a moment

"Fine, let me change though" she said

I nodded groggily

She quickly ran up the stairs and changed into comfier clothes. When she come back down, I sat up

"Are you sure you just don't want to sleep upstairs?" She asked

"It's too far" I said reaching out for the stairs

"I said I'd carry you" she said

"You're probably tired" I said

"So?" She asked

"Just come lay with me" I said

She sighed

"Fineee" she dragged out

She laid down on the couch and I laid on top of her

"I missed you. Welcome home" I said into her chest

"I missed you too, I love you" she replied

"I love you" I replied back

"Goodnight, my love" she kissed the top of my head

"Goodnight, lover" I said closing my eyes

I woke up to the sound of pans hitting each other.. like frying pans. I sat up, rubbed the tired out of my eyes, and walked to the kitchen

"Oh, sorry, I didn't mean to wake you" y/n said with a guilty smile.. although I should be the guilty one
