             I stared and watched them fly;
             how come I'm left with you;
             were you untied from lies;
             or you just never knew,
             must you be hard as I;
             not living as they do;
             but easy to the fires
             of searchers lost for clue;
             but never shall you try
             to burry your own truth;
             with compost they've applied
             for rotten, you were blue;
             I've cried the way you cried;
             I'm fooled the way you're fooled;
             I've broken the same rights;
             and rebelled the same rules;
             I tried, you tried;
             I'm tired, you're tired;
             we both have lost;
             our winless fight,
             we stared and watched them fly;
             how come we're only two;
             have they been blown by lies;
             our guarded hearts first knew.
