Slept By The Rain

I slept by the rain, dreamed of water and leaf

I Heard the incessant drizzle

The cold wet wind blew over my head, soaked my soft black curls

My skin bristled with the misty frost

Thunder deafened my ears, cupped my heart

I struggled to breathe as I witness how the lighting incised the foggy grey breasts of the sky

Yet as sleep came upon my eyelids, all the noise blew away, all the fear diminished to sweet peace, all the shock sublimed

And I slept by the rain, dreamed of water and leaf
