All That You Bestowed Upon
Oh Lord,
I see how ungrateful
I have been to you,
to this human shell.
How unjust it is!
I never thanked you
For this fascinating body glowing in health and mirth
The soft sleek skin, carrying the message of eternal youth and beauty
The face so fresh as of an infant's, who has just breathed its first
Eyes: one like a deer's one of a wary woman's
Lips like they are drawn by you when you were in a quest of a passionate touch
The dense black falls streaming down from my head to my breasts
Womanly palms with their radiating elegance
can make any man come down on his knees
The heart adept in feelings and ability to feel
The mind soaked in knowledge, in want of seeking more
For the precious of all– the invaluable jewel– the soul
I never thanked you Lord for all the blessings you have bestowed upon me.
Today, I bow down before you under the infinite sky
to express my gratitude.
Bless me, Lord,
may I keep leading these treasures on behalf of you!
