Gwen's POV

I reached the venue with Andres and Quentin. In my separate car obviously since I didn't want to interrupt their 'moment'. When Andres and Quentin came out as a gay couple they faced a lot of backlash and I was there to support them through all of that. I honestly didn't get why people would hate on them. Andres still gets a few hate comments here and there but he tries not to show how much it affects him. Everyone has their bad days and I intend to help him and stick with him throughout. He is my bestfriend after all. I think that's when we were recognized as the 'troublesome trio', stupid I know. But I don't think there was ever a moment when we haven't been ready to fight anyone who hurts us.

Realizing I've reached the entrance I get out of the car to face a lot of camera flashes going on and off. There were way too many people here. Ugh I'd have to socialize. I internally groan at that thought. After smiling for the cameras and clicking a few photos I entered the hall and it was beautiful. The decorations were breathtaking. It gave off a vintage, royal vibe and honestly I loved it. Damn I needed to get my hands on the contact information of their event manager. They really did a good job.

I met a few people I know and spoke to a few business associates. Some of the older people who I recognized as my parents friends and associates came up and spoke to me. All of them acting as if they care. All they cared about was the money and I know they're waiting for me to slip up. One mistake and they'd be behind me saying I'm not fit to run the company. That I haven't had time to grieve properly. So shameless.

I met one such 'friend' of my mother and I swear if I met another one of these vile people I might as well puke right here. Her name was Sandra? Stella? I didn't remember. I just knew that she wouldn't leave me alone till I made a mistake by getting annoyed at her or anything.

"Oh hello dear! How have you been?"

"I've been doing just fine Miss." I tried to reply without laughing at her smile which weirdly made her look like she was constipated or something.

"Are you sure darling? You never go out anywhere. I heard all you do is sit inside that office of yours. You should probably take some rest and give all this business work to a man, dear."
