Chapter 20 

Eyes 

"Ready for the fashion show?" Mia said at tumango naman ako doon. We are here at Las Vegas and next week is the Victoria Secret Fashion Show. 

It's been weeks after my vacation with my friends and also when Renzo hug me just all of a sudden. I just continue my work while preparing for the fashion show at bago naman ako lumipad papuntang Las Vegas I also spent time with my friends dahil naging usapan na namin yun at matatagalan din kasi ako dahil after the fashion show diretso akong Paris. 

My dream place... And the place where my brother want to go with me. 

I don't have a schedule there and that is my free time. Oliver gave it to me because he saw how I work hard for the fashion show. 

Tahimik lang ako while Mia and Oliver are in front of me talking. They are talking about Mia being a manager starting next year because Oli will already handle the agency and while I am quiet bigla kong naisip yung biglang pagyakap sa'kin ni Renzo and all of the things he said after that hug 

Flashback 

"Renzo?" I call him at humiwalay naman siya sa'kin and he smiled at me. 

"I am also thankful Irene." he said at nagtaka naman ako doon. "I'm thankful that only me can see that pain of yours, because in that way only me can do something about that." Dagdag niya na lalo pang nagpagulo sa sistema ko. 

Kung kanina parang ang lakas ng tibok ng puso ko ngayon naman parang tumigil na sa pagtibok dahil sa mga sinasabi ni Renzo na hindi ko maintindihan. 

"Did you hit your head or what, Renzo Simon?" I ask him and he just laugh at me and hand me his phone na mas lalo ko nang ipinagtaka. "Ano gagawin ko diyan? I can buy a phone too." I said. 

"I am not aware that you have that kind of side, Irene Mae." he said at inirapan ko naman siya ng maramdaman kong nasa tamang pagtibok na yung puso ko. "Give me your number and let's see." 

"See what?" I ask. 

"If only my eyes can see your pain, or there is also other ways for me to know your pain."  he said. 

"What? Atsaka bakit ba parang curious na curious ka sa'kin? Ano naman if I am living in pain? I deserve it." I said and I saw him smirk. 

"No one deserve to be in pain, Irene Mae. Bukod na lang sa taong talagang dapat mamuhay sa sakit but while looking at you, I can't see that you deserve it." he said. 

"Ano ba alam mo?" I ask him sarcastically. I don't want to be rude at him pero ano nga bang alam niya sa kwento ng buhay ko 'e nakikita niya lang naman sa'kin ay namumuhay ako sa sakit ng nakaraan ko. 

"Wala, but I am willing to know if you will just let me." he said at kunot noo naman akong tumingin sa kanya. 

"Ugali mo na ang wag pansinin ang tao sa paligid mo di ba? Why won't you do the same for me?"  Tumango naman siya sa sinabi ko dahil alam kong totoo naman talaga yung sinabi ko. He is known being a guy who can ignore people who is not part of his life or not important to him. At wala ako sa dalawang yun. 

I am just Irene Mae Vargas na kaibigan ng kakambal at pinsan niya. 

"Yeah, that is me, not until my eyes landed on  your eyes who lacks everything... Lack of love, support, friends and most importantly attention... Yan ang sinasabi ng mata mo when I first saw you. And now the only thing I can see in your eyes is pain and guilt. You are living in your pain and guilt Irene." he said and that makes me stop because of how serious his expression is and also his voice become different.
