Chapter 28

Yoongi's POV

I wake up the faint sound of a knock at the door.

I slowly walk over to the door and put my ear to the door.

I hear breathing but it sounds frantic. I run over to everyone and wake them up.

Jimin immediately sits up while everyone else takes their time.

"Yoongi, what's wrong bub?"

"Someone's at the door but they sound scared. Their breathing is really heavy."

Jimin gets up and walks to the door. He slowly opens the door and looks to see a little girl holding a box.

She's shaking slightly and she looks absolutely terrified.

Jimin moves towards her and she steps back.

I pull him back slightly and move to stand in front of her.

I gently ask,
"Is that for me, little one?"

She nods slowly.

"Ok. Well, why don't you come inside and put it on the table then we can take you home. Does that sound ok?"

She nods again and we let her inside.

She walks over to the coffee table in the living room and puts down the box.

I look at the box, skeptical of its contents.

I look back at the little girl and ask,
"What's your name?"

"M-my name is Eri."

"Ok Eri. Who gave you this box?"

"A man told me that he wanted me to deliver the box to this house but he told me not to give it to you."

She points at Jimin.

He furrows his brows.

"Why were you not to give it to me?"

"Because the man said you'd hurt me." She whispers.

Jimin looks shocked.

"I would never hurt you."

"You look just like the man who gave me the box, only you look younger and less mean."

Everyone tenses.

Sana walks into the room and gasps.

"Eri?! What are you doing here?"

Eri runs over to Sana.

"How do you know her?" I ask.

"She's my mother's friends daughter. Your mom must be worried sick. I'll take you home."

Eri nods and looks over at me.

"Yoongi. The man told me that your name is Yoongi and that you were very special to him."

I look at her and ask,

"What else did he tell you?"

"He told me that you were in danger and that he wanted to save you. He said that he would save you soon."

Jimin tenses up and Sana picks Eri up, then disappears.

I look at the box and move towards it.

I slowly open the box and gasp.

I pull out a small kitten.

It was asleep until I picked it up. It opens it's eyes and I'm stunned.
