Jealousy doesn't suit you

PROMPT: Jealous Aiden 

A/N: This was requested by awesomeshreyayeet :) thank you!! I had fun writing this!! :)) ;p Also, I couldn't come up with any names, so he's called Dhruv now (because y'know, Aiden was supposed to be Dhruv?) This probably happens after SOD but before TOW.

Aru laughed, like bells jingling during the holidays, at Dhruv's words. Aiden glared at the back of his head.

Is a glare enough to kill someone? Aiden wondered. Cause right now, he's wishing it did.

Now before you ask, Aiden Acharya was NOT jealous. He was not! He was just annoyed that someone was trying to steal his very good friend from him, that's all. And was scared. What if Aru valued his attention more than his? What if she liked his company better than Aiden's?

He'd have to do something, Aiden thought.

Dhruv winked at Aru as he headed towards his friends. She looked embarrassed and waved back as Aiden glared daggers at him. Dhruv glared back.

Aiden quickly walked towards Aru and linked his hand into hers. She gently flinched and flushed a pretty pink as she shot a questioning glance towards him.

"Um, hi? What happened? Why all the hand-holding and stuff?" She asked.

Aiden turned around and raised his eyebrow as she realized how that may have come out.

"Nonono! I don't mean it like that! I'm just asking! Are you okay Wifey?" 

Aiden ignored the nickname. 

"I can't hold my friend's hand?" He asked.

"Uhh, well yeah you can, but usually there's a reason. What's wrong?" Shah asked.

"I don't like the way he's looking at you. Besides, your spending too much time with him." Aiden said bluntly.

Aru's eyebrows shot up. HOLD UP, HOLD UP. IS AIDEN ACHARYA JEALOUS?? Aru smirked.

"Are you jealouuuuss?" Aru sang in a sing-song voice. 

"What? No!" Aiden exclaimed.

"Are you sure?" Aru was on the border of laughing.

"I'm just..." Aiden stopped.

Aru laughed.

"Don't worry Aiden," she wiped tears from her eyes. "You will always be more important to me than everyo- including Brynne and Mini of course!" Aru mustered up all the courage she had and gently placed a kiss on his warm skin. 

"Jealousy doesn't suit you, Wifey." She smiled, and walked away.

Aiden stood there for a minute straight, a hand coming up to the place where Aru's lips had met his skin. He smiled, a gentle flush growing on his cheeks as he looked and saw Dhruv glare at him.

HAH! TAKE THAT YOU POLE STAR-NAMED KID! I'll always be more important to her than you ever will be :)
